Well then
One is now officially the owner of a property some 1.5km away from the nearest pub  (don't think I've ever lived that far from a pub before)
Completion took place whilst i was sunning myself in Turkey. My solicitors are sending my keys by registered post, and are waiting for all the final 'fees' from notary etc before issuing me with a completion statement. They did say they are now gearing up for the Sept/Oct completions (maybe a hint that it does grind to a halt in August).
I can now open that bottle of Rioja, and start thinking about aircon, shower screens, lighting, furniture etc etc, suppose i better get my arse in gear hadn't I !!
Also, I'll be sleeping rough on the floor for a few nights from 5th October if anyone fancies a San Miguel or 10

Congrat's Shampers.
A nice 1.5km strool down the cattle track is just about the right distance to build up a thurst. Carol's offering a floor rubbing service to help stop you getting splinters through the sleeping bag 
I'm off to France tomorrow for the rest of the month to marinade in a local vin yard and stock up on happy juice for the year, I guess my completion papers could well pop through whilst I'm away, so that will be something to come home to.
Hopefully see you all in October ( or Nov or Dec )

Congratulations Shampers!
I'll be biting my finger nails tomorrow as my completion is suppose to be happening POA!
Don't think it will some how as rumour has it the Hab certificates hasn't come through!

Congratualtions Shampers- at last no more counting!
We've just heard our Hab Cert wont be avalable for the 14th August and completion will be put back to beginning of September by POA. Disappointed but not surprised. However all being well we should be able to use the apartment late October as planned.
Cant wait, should be great.

well done shampers glad to hear you are all signed up. we are back out for 5 days from 16th august to finish furnishing the apartment might meet up with you carol. did i read earlier last week that thesupermarket/shop was open if so has anyone been in it and what type of stuff does it sell, main question does it sell lots of drink? talking about drink we are over for new year this party thing is going to be massive lets hope that the bar is open by then. cant wait it,s all sounding so exciting now.

Hi Jackie,
we're on Jardin 8 too, our appointment was for Aug 1st but we are still waiting for habitation certificates. Been told it should be before 15th, maybe.
Dissapointing isn't it when we've been counting down the days, but not unexpected really. At least we can see by the other posts on here it will eventually happen.
Got the champagne chilled and waiting
