If you look on the El Valle site, you will see a post on HR towncentre to which 'Jack' from PWUK responded.
Jack intimated that he would put out some information shortly on the town centre.
We responded to him and asked that any information he had should be put on this thread.
Our response to him is copied below.

The original post was about the Hacienda town centre and we would all welcome any news on the HR town centre but please don't post it on this page, it should be on the HR forum.
I took the liberty of going onto the web link on your post and would like to remind you of what is posted on your own website - as follows:
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort Services
- Community centre with coffee-shops, pubs and a restaurant
- Travel agency and car hire
- Kiosks with international newspapers
- Sports complex with a fitness centre, outdoor and indoor swimming pools
- Commercial centres, banks and cashpoints
- Daycare Centre
- Restaurants and supermarkets with home delivery service
- Medical centre
- Decorating and remodelling
- Gardening
Apart from the last two items which I'm not sure I understand, none of the above are available on Hacienda and the resort has been open for more than a year.
The lack of facilities on-site mean that owners are suffering, rentals are suffering and PW must be suffering from the resulting poor occupancy rates and take up of golf. Although the temporary supermarket is OK for basic needs and the staff are friendly, the temporary bar is a bit of a joke. As for the portable shwers and WCs, you really ought to go over and take a look.
We keep being told that its a planning problem but I have heard comments that don't bear that out. I was also told over Xmas whilst over there that PW had recently nogotiated a €145M loan to complete the resorts. I know this is speculation but would you like to comment??
HRGR is a lovely resort and in the early days, we were 'Happy Haciendans' because we believed all would be sorted.
Unfortunately the lack of progress and most importantly the lak of information from PW has soured a lot of people.
We look forward to any information you can post to us 'Unhappy Haciendans.'

It would be nice if there was an update ... but frankly I cannot imagine that a UK Property agent (Casa Blanca Properties) has any 'inside' information on the Polaris business plans...certainly no more than the HR folks visiting the Murcia Town Hall every few weeks. They are not anything to do with official PolarisWorld in the UK despite a similar website URL all dressed up as PW...but I guess he has grabbed people attention...which was the game...had a few people hit his website...so its paid off.
All the webpage information are typical of those from PW original material many years ago...but haven't been updated since.

as murcia is suffering a major slowdown in construction along with spain and most of the world , i would have thougth the town hall would speed up planning for building projects. maybe polaris need to remind them of this , as for polaris is must be the best time to build as there costs now must be alot lower due to the slump in building. does anyone know how much the budget for the tc /sc is . can polaris still build or have they like most businesses got some sort of money issues polaris need to start reassuring us owners who have spent a lot money that they are going to complete hrgr as promised . reputation in business is everthing and polaris world in my view have damaged theirs , would you recommend them.

As I understand it and confirmed by e mail last year in the spring, PW president stated that all the permissions had been granted, and work would start very soon. Does anyone remenber this e mail? if so what is the angle of this thread?
More to the truth is I think they are struggling to survive as a company and are diverting the building resorces into the new project, instead of doing the HR town centre, call me an ol pesimist if you like but..............

Well Polaris have never told us anything so I think it highly unlikely they will start now. They build and sell apartments. They have no idea how to communicate with owners, nor do they care.

mid june they put a billboard up at the hacienda to say that the centre building would be coming soon! legally surely they mis-sold us our properties
not to be too pessimistic - what if they have run out of money - and the centre is never started or finished - how do we stand? if i had known that centre was not being complted - then i certainly would not have bought - and sure now i could buy one at a fraction of the price -
now i realise my apartment and all others were over priced - the only people laughing are those estate agents etc who got us to buy in the first place - what did they make out of every sale - 16% might be close to the figure - thats €30000 per unit on average

Exactly Chindo. On the other forum I said exactly the same. Even if the facilities were dotted about HR its better than not having them. On the site plan there are some unused areas that would be perfect. The priority would be a nice restaurant/bar

The Hacienda Riquelme section of the Polarisworld website ( www.polarisworld.com) has a 'Masterplan' picture which appears to list the only TC and SA facilities that are now planned. It is considerably down-sized from the original grand model of the HR town centre and its proposed facilities from a few years ago. That sizeable Town centre is now not even planned.The short Town Centre list of facilities now looks to be very similar to just the single Clubhouse Building complex at El Valle which was their final downsized version of their original TC.
Because of severe restrictions on alterations to listed building internals it is also highly likely that none of these facilities will be in the Old Hacienda building.
For those unable to read clearly the finer detail of the facilities lists on the Polaris Masterplan picture on the website….

I've tried to ascertain on the El Valle forum whether this is what happened there and, if so, whether they were compensated. I thought that a town centre was promised there and they ended up with the clubhouse/bar/restaurant scenario. If this is what we ended up with on HRGR it would, at least, be better - but I feel we should still be compensated for the fact we were miss-sold.

Not that we're holding out much hope but..........as its the AGMs next month, it would be nice if PW were to give an update in the TC situation.
After all, there will be a PW rep at each of the phase AGMs if only to pick up the presidency of the 'unclaimed' blocks.
There will also be an AOB item on the agenda so there may be some interesting supplementary items.

I have heard from a very reliable source that Polaris have said effectivly that they want to be a building company and not a company that wants to run bars, restaurants, hotels or even golf courses. If this is true, this could go some way to explaining the delay on the resorts facilites (not to mention the CRISIS). I suggested that they should get planning permission passed for a small commercial area ( with adjacent landscaped area for future potential expansion) and then put the units out for rental tender and or purchase to private individuals. It worked on El Trampolin (baring a few developer hiccups) which is a much smaller resort than Riquelme.

Thats fine, the residents would no doubt make a better job of running our own facilities anyway. But this does not alter the fact that we were sold the TC initially. Tell your contact to get it built and we will manage it.

hi hair bear has your source got proof that polaris will not build the sc/tc. can you pm me his details so that ican get my solicitors to contact them. i already have an ongoing court case against another developer and thier bank . to try and achieve anything we need hard facts. i have all the promotional material polaris used to sell hrgr to the original plans . my solicitors have asked polaris for written details of any changes of thier plans as soon asi get a response my solicitors i will let you know. keep up the hard work kenny i am behind you all the way.
