while there in august the builders were raising the gable walls of the garden terrace area by about two feet to give an acceptable level of privacy from people passing.also in garden 13 there was a ground floor that had a picket fence to the front , the full canopy on pergola and side curtains, now that is private.

on another garden, ground floor the pergola was covered in the reed type material you speak of . you can get this up the road in camposol for 12.99e, 1 metre by 3 wide

Thanks Jake and Mary - When you say the builders were raising the gable ends, do you mean PW builders?

hi cuz
ya, polaris world builders very active especially with more and more apartments being released.can only assume someone in one of the corner ground floor apartments between the jardines complained they were too low and in my opinion they were at about 3to3.5 feet, so they arrived in force, hacked back a piece of wall that was finished and added another 1.5 to 2 feet then re plastered.

We were told by our agent that they had to change the heights of the walls for planning reasons so the habitacion certificates could be issued.

Hi everyone, we are living in an end apartment and they are only raising the wall if the path is lower than the tiles on your front terrace. We have been trying for 3 weeks now to get ours highered as our 2 year old keeps climbing over onto road. Our wall is about 20 inches high so i will have to put a big fence up and sod polaris.

Hi all
Our wall was already highered before we even saw it and believed it was the council who insisted. We agree with Mark and his statement as we were told by PW that all the end terraces would be the same and so if PW don't do it then the tenants should without any restrictions.
PW seem to make statements about having everything looking the same but do not seem to follow the same rules.
Hope we all get the same deal eventually!!

Mark,
I am not sure if your habitation licence shows a generic photo, or it actually one of your own property ? Mine is a stock photo. I am sure that as Charlie suggested the council would not knowingly issue the certificate if the wall was potentially dangerous ( not just to a two yr old but for eample to a partially sighted person etc). I would look into this and tell PW you are going to take the matter further if they do not get their act together. There is a complaints procedure listed somewhere on this forum that involves the local town hall and again if you get no joy from polite discussion with PW this certainly is an option.
On the Health and safety aspect you can see that PW has been made to improve safety in certain areas as is again discussed on the forum e.g fence around pools etc.
Best of luck
