Hi,

Does anybody know what the re-building cost is on the penthouse apartments in Los Naranjos.  I am just trying to get some quotes so we know what we're looking at when we complete in November but all the websites ask for the re-building cost.  Also if anybody can recommend someone for buildings and contents.

Hi Jo

I got both my building and contents insurance via Polaris World.   I think they have their own insurance department that works directly with Zurich.
I am sure if you ring customer services they will send you all the forms.  It was around 235 euro's for both, there is a different premium whether you declare it is going to be empty for more than 3 months. 

I asked my broker about it and he suggested that  I go with Zurich as he said if everybody went with Zurich insurance when it comes to claiming for anything Zurich wouldn't have anyone but themselves to argue with when paying the claim. (thats if it involves a third party).

I think most people went with Zurich for this year being more handy and next year we'll shop around, was 225 for 3 bedroom. I just brought the form when we were completing and gave it to PW rep, I had the insurance policy posted out within a week and the money taken out of my account the next day!  - straigh forward enough

We have had a quote from Intasure. Standard charges based on type of holiday home. Our 2 bed can be insured for £1 million rebuild and £5000 contents for £109.01. They specialise in property abroad.
