DV in November

HI, all friends.

We have just had a week in DV. It was very sunny most of time. Heated up around 10.30 then hot until around 4.00. Definately shorts and t shirt all day.Were a few of us laying around the pool, was not tempted in ! Took time to walk around, lots of empty properties, do not know if sold. But the grounds do still look very good. Gardeners still taking pride in work. As not mid summer heat fairly easy to walk down to Duquesa. A sobering thought, wandered around Fairways and it is not kept as well as DV, grounds need work, pool, well my opinion a bit dirty. Shows need to keep standards up.( not meant as Fairways bashing just reminder to us DV owners)

The road hump by Fairways has had work done to it, so it is no longer a problem.

Hi All,

We are in DV also right now. It has been excellent weather but not too hot so we cycled to Casares and Estepona.

I did not try the pool but the sea was a pleasent temperature  for someone who grew up with holidays on the North Sea coast.

The site is looking good.  I've taken lots of photos and will update the web site next weekend.

However the property market is worse than you might imagine.  Half built developments seems to be at a standstill everywhere.

Re comments on Fairways you should be aware that the builders Jale went out of business before the site was finished, particularly landscaping, gardens and pools. The Community is picking up the pieces and are dependent on collection of community fees and contributions in many ways, not just in financial terms. A lot of developments in the area are far from completed and may never be so, there but for fortune.................................
