Hi Phil
Great photo's! Well done, I take it they are yours, I don't think you have missed one inch of the Condado! The whole place is looking fabulous!
The Isla and the Foro looks as if they will be finished early next year. Now I'm getting all excited again! Will be there next week for a long weekend thanks to Ryanair cheap return!

Hi Jackie,
Yep, they me mine, from last weeks completion trip .
Things were changing daily whilst we were there, they seeded and mulched the fairways behind the penthouses and put the roof on the foro. The Isla penthouses have the moat dug around them and lined, will look great when they flood it.
Looking forward to the Foro opening, the site is in desperate need of a good meeting place, the existing bar just doesn't do it for me. My only hope is that they get the facilities in it up and running ASAP. A nice Tapas, coffee shop and bar to two would be great. Please god they don't try and Anglo-size it with irish pubs and fish and chips.
Phil

Hi Phil
Yes I totally agree, tapas, coffee shops and a couple of bars. Fish and chips are good in the right place, like in news paper with your feet dangling over the wall listening to the sea!
I don't suppose you or anyone has heard what is actually going to be the first shop/bar to be opened on the Foro?

Hi Phil,
Totally agree your comments about the Tapa's etc. We need to keep an eye on it. Would hate it if 'The Foro' turned out like Camposol. It was all right when I was desperate to watch the footy the other day, followed by a quick chinky, but would hate to live on it. Desperate place really!! Didn't see one Spaniard - Even all the shops are owned by Brits!!
Need something a bit smarter on Condado me thinks
Skell

Thanks for the photos Ptan. We're in Block16 and noticed form one of your photos that there is a play area between blocks 15&16, which will keep my wee ones very happy. We knew from the plans that there wouldn't be a pool between these blocks but a play area is a bonus.
Also notice you have spots fitted in your lounge I think. Is the ceiling plasterboard and were they not to much of a nightmare to run the cables?
Cheers again for these photos.

Agree - nice range of snaps there Phil.
Looking forward to going over on Sunday and updating my own portfolio of photo's.
Skell, dont think you need worry about the standards of bars/restaraunts on Condado - just visit the other resorts that are complete if not already done so. Without 'slating' Camposol (particularly the 'A' side which looks a bit rough round the edges), it is in a different league to what Condado will be but saying that it will serve our purposes fine while our facilities develop. We had some luch there a couple of times while completing and there are some fine little cafe's and bars on the newer 'B' side of the development offering good value and decent quality. I would happily go along to watch the football like you say or pop along the odd evening when there is some live entertainment in the bars. All in all we will probably apreciate our facilities all the more once we are up & running - once we get used (will we ever ?) to forking out the higher prices of course !!
Regards,

Hi Midge,
Yep all the ceilings are plasterboard with a 3-4inch gap under it. We took the lazy route and just fitted the spots where the existing holes were so didn't need to run new cables, but I would image it would be quite easy to if you had the right gear.
Not wanting to sound like an old fuddy duddy, nothing wrong with kids in thier place , but for me, rather than play areas I would of liked to see some kind of communal seating area, like this one from the Mirador brochure
Around garden 1 there are three play areas and a pool but not really a place the adults can get together for a chat.
Phil

Hi Phil, I'm guessing from your photos, your in the Jardines across the road from us in block16. I was thinking everytime we left the apartment my wee boy who's coming up for the terrible 2s, would want to run across the road to your play area. Now his big sister and him can run riot in the park next to us. I remember seeing that picture showing the seating area myself, hopefully we'll maybe see a few of these dotted around.
Your spots positions look good, so maybe I'll get away without runnng cables. I'm a Joiner to trade & I've already given myself enough jobs to do when we're over setting-up. I've not even set foot inside my apartment yet and I've decorated, re-decorated etc etc, all in my head.

The photo's are great- we were there less than a month ago and already there are changes. The Foro looks quite substantial and I think it looks tall enough to be two storeys high. If it is that, wasnt what we were expecting- I'd thought it was to be a 1 storey rectangle of shops and bars etc with a central (non swimming) water feature. I hope they manage to let all the retail bits and pieces as that would really give a heart to the place. We really like La Torre but many of their shops were still unoccupied this summer.
Its great to see the golf course taking shape and all the planting thats going in- as that grows it will really soften all the harder features of some of the building. All the advertising shows an abundance of greenery some of it quite tall, so I hope they really stick to that. Just the number of trees and shrubs along the main entrance boulevard is staggering but really effective.
We really liked those seating areas too and had originally expected them to be in the Jardines gardens but they didnt materialise. Our agent was told that there was a change of heart about them as they could become gathering places in the evenings, causing disturbances to owners and residents and who would police that? However, I dont know how accurate that information is as we all seem to be told different things by different contacts. Shady places to sit would be really useful for parents when their children are using the pools and play areas. When we were over we saw a very small girl, easily under 4, using a scooter to go around and around the edge of a pool- totally unsupervised but on looking around there was really no where close for an adult to wait comfortably.
We are back during the Christmas break and cant wait to see what else will be changed by then, the progress around the Isla sounds really interesting.

Hi Scapa.
What a great site, did`nt know about it until I read your thread.
So a big thank you for sharing it with everyone.
The photoes were excelent.
We have not been over to Condado since June & access was very limited then
We were only allowed onto Jardin 13 to view the show homes.
We go over mid January so it`s great to see how far the site has gone.
Reguards
Jan & Ham.
PS We are in Jardin 5
