furniture packages?

Hi everyone,

I am waiting for my property to complete like many others and I am thinking of furnishings now, I know there are many companies over there doing packages but I wish to avoid the Imported stuff where they only do set packages with no choices(what if the furniture doesn`t fit??). I have been on the PW forum and have seen recommendations for SF supplies and DFS(though nothing to do with DFS??), apparently  SF supplies  will visit your property to measure up to make sure everything will fit, and all their products are made locally to the region which I think sounds great. Apparently you can mix and match any stlye to make your property unique and the prices are good, Has anyone else used them? I am going to visit them soon and will let you know.

    We were out looking to complete and pick our furniture first week of November.Having viewed the furniture in a few of the furniture places mentioned on the forum we called at SFS in Pilar.Have to say we very impressed with the help and attention to detail in selecting our furniture.The shop is owned by an english couple Matt and his wife and nothing was to much trouble.The shop is not massive but dont be put off as there is a wide range of furniture and fabrics to mix and match and we came away with a good price and better quality furniture than previously seen.They have a fitting team who will fit everything in your apartment.

We went to a Spanish owned furniture shop in Los Alcazares along from El Patio restaurant.

Ask for Antonio who helped us and speaks English, furniture was a very good price.

Hi, Are we talking good quality or Good price?? I know we all have different budgets and will look for different things but from my experience peolple will not rent out places that look furnished with cheap/imported furniture, just think of how many properties are up for rent and how many will be kitted out nicely, if you choose cheap you have got to charge cheap to stand a chance of getting any business.

sorry forgot to add to previous, went to Spanish Furniture Supplies(SF Supplies) and I can only say how very pleased my wife and I our with how we were treated and the amount of choices we had, came away with a very good price and can`t wait to see our property furnished. We did go to  others  DFS, Murcia Furniture, IR España and some others but as far as we were concerned they couldn`t compare with the attention and options at SFS, well worth a look we say.

To anyone looking to buy furniture. Check that the company you have any quotes from or have ordered from are still in operation as many have closed down in the last 2 months. DFS (Spain) are still going strong as they are now on terrazas on a daily basis.

Just heard from an agent friend of mine that Murcia Furniture have not paid staff for two months, this follows them shutting down offices late last year, can`t confirm obviously but be careful if thinking of working with them!!

The staff in question should get together and get a solicitor very quickly. Half term (now) is probably the busiest time until after easter for MF and so if they do have any cash it will be now.

Confirmed, They definately are struggling financially!! not paying staff for two monhs and have told my agent friend that they can`t pay him what he is owed. Please be careful placing orders here,

My advice would be to speak to a couple of the other companies who always feature on here, I personally used Spanish Furniture Supplies  (SFS) and they were great!! very helpful with probably too many options if anything.

First class service from start to finish, very professional in how they operated.

We completed in February and had been to visit SFS last November when we went to snag our apartment.

They were brilliant on both occassions and are in the process of furnishing our apartment today.  They have shown real dedication to getting what we wanted and have been giving us updates since ordering.

On quality and cost - I think we've done well on both fronts!

I saw some comments about Murcia Furniture. We used them for two appartments already and I must say I,m very pleased with everything. They gave us good dicounts, a supurb service and no complains about the delivery.
