As a number of posters have already suggested, these forums are not really the place to get anything positive done about the various complaints owners have against Roda. With the greatest respect to the team at EOS, they are intended to offer help and advice or perhaps act as a springboard to help form various alternate action groups, as Lisa has done on the Corvera forum.
Corvera owners have I believe formed a group which can share ideas, resources, costs and legal advice, but they do face rather different issues to Roda. Roda owners seem to have a number of complaints from Phase 1 with their water features, Phase 2 with leaking pools and dead trees, and so on and Phase 4 who as yet do not have a property to complete on. Though it is fairly unanimous that most are unhappy with lack of promised facilities.
Phase 4 buyers could certainly benefit from combining legal opinion as it is unclear as yet whether promised facilities forms part of our contracts, something which I have my doubts on, they could perhaps enlist support from others who feel the same.
Phase 1 thro to 3 owners do have other choices in that all AGMs are coming up shortly and has already been mentioned can use that option especially as there will be a 50/50 split of Spanish and Others. If you are not already aware of how communities work, do some research.
To start all owners interested in what is happening and " Protecting the value of their Investment" should do their utmost to try and attend their AGM or a least offer someone they trust their proxy.
1.They can then put themselves forward as President or Vice President and work tirelessly for no reward and little thanks alongside the administrator and other communities to change things for the better,
2. They can find some other sucker to do the job.
3. Tney can offer their support and if possible any expertise to the encumbents, if willing to re stand or new appointees. Remembering that small personal issues can be very time consuming to those holding the posts and should be avoided.
Once there is a sufficient number of interested owners, voting on various issues becomes a lot easier.
As the Entidad ( Whole community ) has not yet been formed and Roda still pay for many services on the resort you can ask your Presidents to get together with the Administrator on resort issues.
It is not however the responsibilty of the administrator to fight on our behalf for completion of all facilities but they can fight for issues that concern each community.
One way forward may be for all communities to ask the Administrator to set up or allow the setting up of a community/communities website or Forum so that owners can be advised of its existence and be invited to join via the minutes.
This could be utilised by the Administrator and hopefully Roda to post news, information and bulletins, whilst also allowing owners a more exclusive medium to exchange views and ideas. As all owners would be advised of its existence there would be a much greater input than EOS.
If necessary anyone wishing to set up any action either with or against Roda would have better access to likeminded owners.
To a smaller extent this has been done by Golf Rights Owners who have formed a legal Association in order to work with Roda over all issues relating to golf and the protection of their rights. Shortly ALL rights Holders will be invited to join.
I do agree that Calidona/Roda's public relations is probably almost as bad as SKY TV, they are not really aware of the impact that Forums like EOS may have on their marketing and perhaps need to be persuaded of the benefits/downfalls of word of mouth and certainly if all communities could find a way of working together the power of persuasion is greatly enhanced.
