Hi
We are flying in on Saturday 11th and will land about 7:30pm. Obviously with Easter then the shops will be closed and we may not have time to get to the Camposol supermarket on the Saturday night.
Does anyone know of an easy to get to supermarket either in alicante or on the way from there..?
Don't quite fancy bread and water on Sunday !
TIA
Stephen

Hi,
You will see the Murcia Football Stadium, just before Murcia, there are 2 big shopping centres there. One is called Thader and there is a ginormous supermarket there, think its a carefore? You cant miss it!

Hi Stephen
There's a couple of shopping centers in the same area as Ikea. If you want more info/directions, go to the "Search individual threads" button at the top of the threads, on the Condado page and type in Ikea, this will bring up quite a few postings on directions and other stuff you might wish to know.

Hi Stephen,
The shops are Alcatel in Thader, and Eroski over the road by the Football stadium (or the other way around!). A word of warning though, the exit from the motorway is a bit tricky, especially if it is dark when you get there! so may be worth checking a map before you go. If you can get off at the junction before the Stadium, then go along the side road, to the stadium and the "Neuva Condomina" is the shooping centre, that will be easiest, otherwise it is the junction immediately after the Stadium and you need to first head towards Murcia and then turn into complex where IKEA is and head for the Thader centre.
Both centre are shown on Googlemap - the first junction is 84, the second is 762b - but do look rather than relying on my info!
Good luck

Thanks Ted,
I remember coming out of IKEA 5:30pm one night in November...just kind of shut my eyes and hoped for the best when trying to get the right junction :)

Ted, I have been to Thader but not the one across the road, which is best? I also noticed that they both have cinemas, do you know if the films they show are English with Spanish subtitles or are they Dubbed into Spanish.
Just thinking of ideas if its raining?

Both are pretty good, couldn't really say which is best - not that much of an expert in shopping!! Haven't tried either Cinema, so can't help there either - all in all not much use i am afraid! (and I know I am soooo opening myself up for some comments!)
The one big plus for the Nueva Condomina - in my book, is that there is free WiFi service, so can sit and have a coffee or beer and check up on emails etc.
