Meeting 16th May

Its related to the architect and the percentage he put on each apartment tho' we have also wondered how the math was worked out. What now seems like a million years ago the PW agent who took us around said the C/Charge was based on the number of apartments per Jardine- but we didnt really take on board what was being said at that time and now dont know if thats strictly true. My understanding is that it is truly expensive and long winded to take this to a Spanish Court and get it considered, never mind changed- it would require contributions and approval from each owner to make alterations to the percentages.

It seems very quiet in our Jardine? 

Don't know if thats a good sign or not.  I'm just hoping maybe a Spanish resident will take up the post.   Well at least the man with rotty won't be able be a president as he works for Victoria.  I'm out there on Sunday and I will chat to everyone I see in our Jardine and let you know when I get back.

Thanks for posting the meeting details.  However, the link doesn't seem to load.  We are flying down from Ireland today and would be particularly interested in being at the meeting.  I managed to make that fiasco back in February and sincerely hope that more might be achieved in this one.

Thanks for the link.

I'm assuming RPM are sending the e-mails out.  I haven't received anything from them which is no surprise as they never respond to any e-mails I send them.  When did they first start sending the invites out as I'm maybe being a bit unfair on RPM and I may get something soon, although based on past experience I won't hold my breath!!!

Have finally managed to register on the condado services site but sadly no-one has come forward for our Jardin as wanting to stand as President. Maybe its early days.

I have read elsewhere that if no-one comes forward then each apartment owner in a Jardin has to take the role on an annual basis. Whilst this is fair and obviously the regular Spanish system how does it work when someone isnt a resident and visits infrequently?

 Has anyone else had an email from the association Condado de Alhama. It is urging people to give them proxy for the spanish members. They would cover jardins 2, 5, 7, 11, 12, & 13. It seems a good idea to have them as garden presidents doesnt it?

I would vote for these guys, from the info I've seen they have been instramental in bringing about the reductions in the community fees.  Shame one doesn't live in Naranjos 1

They have experience of being involved in comunidads have good contacts to get information and some work for utilities and have been active in pursuading their companies to tell the associacion of some of the problems. I can assure you that I have witnessed them in action at the Alhama town Hall and at Polaris and believe that without their assistance in uncovering certain issues we could have been left with some large costs to be paid out in the future, They are very firm with RPM and the companies who are contracted to do the work on Polaris and have achieved reductions in charges. I understand peolpe have a concern about the outer road etc but it was clear at the council that agreements where made to enable Condado to take place. Apart from them being concerned owners like ourselves who have achieved something in getting reductions and putting pressure to get this meeting called I am not sure what more is expected from them to proove themselves if that is needed before they get the support they deserve. There has been a lot of time and effort spent by them to get to this stage. Frankly I see no one else willing or able to do as much as this . Making complaints and protests is all well and good but until power is on the hands of the owners we are just whistling in the wind.

So lets just get on with it make this meeting work and leave our individual problems at the door of the meeting room ,unless it will just become a mess like last time. We need officials who have legal control and power to ensure Condado is administered correctly. Then we can get down to the details.

I did not know I was going to be on list. Alan is a better choice for J11 but he is away . Did not J3 already have an election in their garden.

There must be others on the gardens who could come forward ,
