Thanks for all the useful info. Ramon sounds like the guy!
Jan and Ham - you say you are going to give proxy to Carol - I assume she is in Jardine 5? Does proxy have to be given to someone in your garden?
If this is the case could you please pass me her email address so that I can make contact?
Many thanks
MG

Hello again MG
No, Carol is our Keyholder & lives on jardin 13.
Have emailed her but not sure at this point if she is gong or not. I know she has been away & notsure if she is back yet.
I do not think the person who takes your proxy vote to the meeting has to be on your spacific Jardin. I am sure some one will let us know.
Jan

if RPM don't have the competence to inform all owners (whether or not they attend or vote) that there is a meeting then how can it be valid ? Doesn't give you a great deal of confidence does it ?. If anyone reading this is going can they ask a question about the apparent debacle at La Torre over their television system where residents are being asked for a 1m euro payment - we don't want to end up in that position, and I for one will not be installing any telly service until that one get resolved !!!

Hi all,
Quote:
Have finally managed to register on the condado services site but sadly no-one has come forward for our Jardin as wanting to stand as President. Maybe its early days.
Can anyone tell me how the hell you register on this site !! just seems to say does not recognise user name, other times trying different way and up somewhere called 'world press'. Not exactly a technophobe, but not getting any joy at all here.
Step by step idiots guide required please.

Hello Will & Jackie
I had the same problem so went to the section that says I have forgotten my password etc. I was emailed details after about 20 minutes. It may come through a lot quicker if your computer is younger than mine
Best of luck
Jan

Hi Will & Jackie
When you are on the front page, go to the left hand side and scroll down to "Forum" when you click on that it will take you to the forum log on site, assuming you have already registered just enter your user name and password if not, register there.

All,
We only have one more week to organise ourselves before next Saturdays meeting.
Remember that only the level 3 presidents voted in next week will get a vote on confirming RPM as administrators for the following year, electing the level 2 presidents and approving the budget.
If you have an opinion on the above NOW is the time to act by either putting yourself forward as a garden president, attending the meeting or by ensuring that you have deligated your proxy vote to someone who is attending.
To find details of the current nominations and details of where to send your proxy forms see http://www.eyeonspain.com/community-forum/15870/garden-president-nominations.aspx

Hi,
Regarding proxy vote form do I need to print it off, sign it, scan it and attach it to an email or can I just print my name on signature line.
Thanks
Carol Anne

Hi Phil
As you know, Ants mum has volunteered to stand for Naranjos 7 if no one else comes forward. Ant says she is not going to be at the meeting, that is my first question, do presidents elect have to be at the meeting?
If they don't have to be at the meeting, who would we send our votes with?
As we are not aware of any one else standing (Not on these forums anyway) what if someone is there on the day, that would be a better prospect, (I don't mean I don't want to vote for Ants mum, we have said we would be glad to vote for her, but both her and Ant would prefer either a resident or/and Spaniard too), what would happen with our votes? Or am I thinking along the wrong lines? Would we be able to send proxy votes with anyone that is going, from any garden, and ask them to vote for resident/Spaniard if there is one, or Ants mum if not?
I hope this makes sense

Hi Cuz,
I've been having the same thoughts. You can give anyone who is going to the meeting your proxy vote, your keyholder for example, I don't believe and it doesn't say they have to be in your garden. The next question is, can you only vote in the election for your garden president. Looking at the info, each garden will have a colour coded card with there jarden number on, i'm assuming you only get one vote so why would you vote in anything other than your garden elections?
We have asked RPM/PW the nomination/vote process, guess what - no answer.
So I have to assume that on the day they will ask for nominations, I'm assuming you can nominate anyone even if they are not present. The person with my proxy can then vote.
Alan Milton is standing but cannot be present, so David Ingman has his proxy and will collect the proxy of anyone who wishes to vote for Alan. David also has my proxy, like you I would prefer a spanish resident as my garden president, but if no resident comes forward at the meeting David will nominate and vote ( with my proxy ) for me, if one does he will vote for them. If someone does come forward at the meeting I will leave it to davids judgement, but if it's a spanish full time resident that I currently don't know about they have my vote. Any other non-resident? No - better the devil you know - that''l be me then
The same rules could apply for Ants mum ( Rita ) if the garden 7 residents om EOS wish.
For me the most important thing is that we get as many level 3 ( from EOS ) presidents elected so that we then get a say in the next vote i.e ratifing RPM, agreeing the budget and electing the level 2's.
Phil

I asked this previously but think it got lost in the many questions. Is it correct that if a Jardines doesnt have a representative then each owner has to take a 'turn' as representative and how does this work?

Basically if there are no volunteers for your Garden then an owner is choosen to be President, this may be logical (lowest numbered apartment first or by lottery or alphabetically whatever the administrators decide).
You have a greater chance of being a garden President than winning the lottery.
Anone who casts their vote by proxy or otherwise should elect someone who is resident for this role (where possible) as non residents can not see whats happening on site on a daily basis, such as lack of Gardeners, pool maintenance, Lighting failures, dogs fouling and barking, motorcycles driving up paths, children pulling trees apart, watering of gardens being neglected, all of these things need tight control which we dont have at the moment, so if you can choose a resident. (I know there are some gardens with no residents but most have at least one.)
