I am sure I have seen threads with this before, but I cannot find them. I have seen a few appartments with a covering over the entire patio area which is a great idea for the hot summer months (as it gets very hot on the patio with no wind!). I have noticed a sign on one, a company called Paco Molino (or something like that). However, I can't find a website for them so maybe they are called something else.

Anyway, I would be grateful if anyone has any recommendations, also how much should I expect to get this supplied and installed?

Thanks folks!

Im debating whether to get one or not at the moment, and the quote I have is by the Company who installed my air conditioning (did a great job) called Climazone.

 www.climazone.net  - I got a quote for my 3 bed €1255.00

 Good luck!

Hi

We have just bought an awning (sail shaped) from B&Q of all places! They are either sail or square shaped and measure 3.9m x 3.9m. They were marked @ £36.00 and when we went to buy them they came up at half price so we ended up buying 2! We were resigned to having one fitted by a local company in CdA and they were really expensive. So the B&Q awnings come in a few colours and also supply the rope and bolts, it will probably take 20-30 mins to put up. If you dont fancy erecting it yourself there are local handymen advertising  an odd job service. You could save hundreds of pounds for just a wee bit of effort.

Hi Folks,

Thanks a million for your replies. The Climazone option is a bit more than I wanted to spend (they also installed my aircon and I thought they were excellent).  I might have a look at the ikea or B&Q options.

thanks again everyone,

Ann

Aren't the ones from Ikea/B&Q - just ones you can put either up or down - you can't adjust them. I tried to look online at ikea(spanish version) but couldn not find them.

I think polaris do them - will check.

We have a 3mtr x 3 mtr Gazebo with outer privacy screens and inner flyscreens fits neatly on front 3 bed patio (I have extended mine since by 1 mtr) We eat outside most evenings and shade is great

Cream in Colour with brown metal posts.

Bought in Leroy Merlin Current price 250€ much cheaper than pull out awning more practical.

Only downside covers need removing in high wind but only takes 10 mins to re-fit

Mick
