Been a couple of times this year to
Castillo del pinar, in Perin
its like a spanish (smallish) estate that is build in a castle like style. Its on the old 322 road between mazarron and Cartegena (google Perin). from the 332 towards Cartegena turn towards Perin, follow this road until you have driven trough Perin, where you will find this castillio on your left in the middle of nowhere in the hills.
Here they do a la carte or a fix menu that changes daily
The fix menu is a 5 course menu for 12€ a head and they serve a different (glass of) wine at each course
Start of with Rose, then a White, then a sweet wine, followed by 2 different red wines. it is topped with a dessert and coffee.
It is best to go there with a (small) group as it is not always busy.
The food is all home cooked ranging from pate, fish cakes, fish balls prawns, aubergine bake, stuffed peppers to pork/chicken/fish for mains.
Nothing fancy but often unusual and rather pleasant on the pallet. It is a great experience and highly recommended.
You must book in advance even if there is only your group dining. It is open Tue-Sun for lunch, Fri & Sat for dinner as well
