Dogs off leads and mess in the gardens

After a  recent visit I was disappointed to find the the pactice of some people still letting dogs run off leads is still going on.

One morning I found Dog mess on the grass next door in my daughters appartments garden. In jardins one.

I find the pactice off allowing the dogs to mess disgusting.

A day later a gentelman with two dogs from another garden was walking through our garden with both his white dogs off leads and they were runing all over the place. Its is impossible to watch them both all the time.

The rules say that no dogs are alowed off leads but to let your dogs off in another garden is taking the mickey.

After warning this individual before I was disappointed to discover that he is still continuing with the practice.

As my daughter has a dog phobia this is of concern and dog mess ruins a place so quick.

So please keep a eye on all dog owners and report individuals that break this rule. They not only bring the standards down but also they make other responsible dogs owners look bad and its not fair to tarnish all dog owners because of a few irresponsible ones.

Have a look at the new RPM site- they do detail the rules for pets. So it follows you can report people to them when they dont keep their pets under control and clean up their mess. Infact I think I saw that there is a form for them to complete when people have a pet. I know some people think 'whats the problem?' but aside from childen and adults being scared about dogs of any size there is a cross contamination issue related to dogs defecating and as a family resort thats got to be an issue because even if rain washes the product away it doesnt destroy the germs.

The forms that Jann is refering to were on a table in the "surgery" bar as you walk in the main door way.

But lets be honest here , those who dont give a dam & there is clearly a number of residents & posibly none residents  too who dont  wiil not fill these forms in.

Some time ago I sugested to PW was that they post a copy of the form through all of the post boxes.

A costly excersise I know but at least no one can say they didnt know there was a form

We were over in June & witnest one lady with a large white dog doing is toiletry busines in our Jardin The same lady & dog had been seen  doing exactly the same earlier in the year

Unfortunatly by the time I had put some thing decent on & run ( not litrally ) down the stairs she was out of sight.

You cannot blame the dog it is only doing what it has to do

I know  the lady does not live in our Jardin , not that it would excuse her.

didn't we have a form posted somewhere that we could complete and return to RPM!!

maybe if we make them aware this way they will have to do something about it!

We were out at the weekend and there was a dog that lived on Jardin 5 off its lead in the garden.  It is only a small dog but can be very protective of its apartment infact when just walking past its owners apartment it came out of nowhere and started growling.

Dogs really do need to be kept on a lead, besides the "toilet" issues there are children playing and obvious safety issue wth strange dogs.

there is a lady on Jardine 13 that has 2 dogs, they do excactly the same, her apartment is just in front of the childrens play area.

not good if children are afraid of dogs!!
