Hell, why not go the whole hog. Buy a plot of land and build the damn thing yourself. It will be a lot cheaper and easier, without the hassle of inconveniencing Corvera Customer Services. Neither will you have to worry about build delays, the false dream of a 5* resort and Miguel's coffee emporium.

As soon as it gets wet or slightly damp say, it will expand and rot

All Calidona had to do was put a Teratso Cove type skirting which can be mopped just like tiles

This is why people can't be bothered writing on this forum - any opportunity for the non-completers to throw in negatives in the hope that a few more join the bandwagon. I guess the plan is to hope that enough people don't complete so it puts the developer in financial trouble and they can walk away.

Guys you have your own exclusive forum (as long as you sign up to the site solicitor!!!) to discuss your stratagy so let the people on this forum make up their own minds to whether they want to go ahead or not. I am sure that whether a skirting is MDF is not a main factor in completing on a major investment or not.

We are all sympathetic to your reasons of why you may not wish to complete so respect the reasons of why some people do wish to complete and try to refrain from sarcastic comments everytime someone has something positive to say.

I know another round of " no hotel, spa, shops, pga is coming.....................guys we are all fed up of reading it!!

And I was so much enjoying this tete a tete:

1. 'Times are hard for some' - I am sure this will be comforting to our members who have lost partners or have a limited life expectancy (i.e. cannot obtain mortgages) and are still being forced to complete.

2. I regularly refuse new members entry into our legal group, so I can confirm that we have no intention on increasing numbers. In fact our group solicitor offered to accept new clients some time ago but the majority of our group did not want this to happen for a variety of very valid reasons. So, I can safely say that your theory about our intentions has no relevance.

3. Some people are happy to put a deposit down for a Rolls and, instead, take delivery of a Ford. Others are not! If you want to wave a red flag to someone like me, please please have people with vested interests make laughable suggestions. Priceless - do the snagging yourself to save hassling customer services!! 

Regardless of the outcome, I do hope that some day you will realise that our legal action has caused Calidonia to get up off its behind and actually start doing something about the state of play at Corvera. Now only if they had done this at least 12 months ago....

I have been away for a few days and busy onsite today checking properties for people that will be completing, but I will be providing a much more detailed response tomorrow but so far 42 people who´s properties I have inspected have completed and been happy to do so and 3 have not

Real feedback from these people, most of who read the forum, is that, given the negativity of certain people, they really cannot be bothered to quote on the forum

Ash your lawyer can help these people as, FACT, which can be checked by a lawyer that in Spain, if your circumstances change, if you loose a partner, your job, and you cannot get a mortgage, and you can prove this by getting mortgage refusals, there is consumer law inSpain that allows the buyer to cancel their contract and get all money refunded and they cannot be forced to complete

I know that this works as I have advised a number people on other site who got FULL refunds

You will get your paid money back but no interest or compensation

If of course you don´t provide the true correct information on these applications then you will have a problem

Completed a couple of months ago. Visit last week, property quality pretty good; some snagging, but not serious (we used a local snagger who was very helpful). The sun shone and we drank some nice wine.

This is the first time I have used this site and I am a bit surprised by the amount of positive versus negative comments going on. Why can't people just get on with it. Some people must be spending hours drafting narrative for this site - have they nothing better to do?

Just thought i would add my opinions to this rather exciting thread!

i ,as im sure you are aware am one of those "owners" that is going the legal route. Luckily i am not one of the poor souls that cannot complete due to change in financial circumstances or due to failing health but i am not completing because what we bought into and paid top dollar for has not and will not be delivered. Pwilson , we all have a right to post on this site just as you have and we all still at this moment in time have a vested interest in the development so please dont tell anyone that they cannot post. 

Emotions are running high on this subject because people are angry at how we have been treated, i understand that some are happy with what they have got  and thats your perogative but many of us are not happy and are also unsure how the next few months are going to pan out so still have very valid reasons for posting. As for this particular thread i think it is indeed very alarming that of the 100 + owners that have completed only about 4 have come on here and stated that they are really happy with the product as delivered. Hardly an endorsement of Corvera dont you think?

A group of owners went to see the show home and were appalled at the conditions and general finish of the home and the surrounding areas, remember this was the "show home" and Calidona knew they were coming, how arrogant can they be?

Now just to give you an idea who you are dealing with, this company are very aware that one of the owners that is a member of the legal group is very seriously ill, but they still have not returned him his deposit and allowed him to get on with confronting his treatment and attempting to recover....isnt that disgusting?

Have you noticed that all of a sudden things have started to happen at Corvera, apartments quickly finished,clubhouse, course being rushed to open, miguels coffee emporium ( i hear that it is awesome, like a porta-loo with a tin of beans in) etc etc. These things are happening because Calidona know that they have been caught with their trousers down and are now trying to do all they can to get everyones money as quickly as possible. 

I really hope that the resort turns out to be what you want it to be and what we bought into , i also think that this opinion that those that are not completing are the devil incarnate is a tad ridiculous because you are getting things now because of us , its just a shame that the rush to try and patch up what they should have done 2 years ago has sacrificed quality. At the end of the day there isnt going to be a hotel and the facilities that made this a potential 5* resort have not been delivered but if you are happy with that then great. Some of us arent happy with it and by the lack of response to this thread im guessing that quite a few of those that did complete are not that impressed either,which considering the money paid is a great shame!
