Hi all, I've just been having a kitchen table meeting with my other half. He suggests that we all refuse to even consider any service payments until our air conditioning units have been properly fixed. Just putting it out there. My only worry is that we would probably have to bake/freeze for a while before that got done.........and my sympathy does go out to those who just want to get it done externally. Does anyone know when the AGM is scheduled for? M

My laywer let it slip and told me told that we are not paying community charges as its more convenient for the developer not charge us few owners and pay bills on an emergency basis as and when jobs come up and they prioritize them. After seeing the whole development i can see why this suites the developer. I think at the AGM we should push for the devloper to charge us and they then as owners of all the empty apartments have to make their contribution to the charges on all those empty apartments this I belive would leave plenty in the kitty to do all the jobs and get the whole development up to scratch. At present we still have blocks with flooded basements ect ect ect. We know this is not what we want anywhere on the devlopment. I may be wrong on this has anyone other thoughts. I also believe we really dont know the reason why we are not being charged for water. I think at the AGM We need a good spanish speaking representative to defend our rights.

Lets not forget that the developers have the majority vote and are likely to for some time. We are happy not to pay a management fee for as long as we can. Is the development in that bad a state? Not seen too many complaints on this forum. It would be nice if the southern boundary was finished though.
As for the water meters. At a guess, the water company will only put the meters in to the whole development, in which case Prienesur would have about 400 meters to pay for and then 400 standing charges every month/quarter.

Our A/C stopped blowing cold air late last summer, we paid to get someone out and re-gas it rather than sufffer the hassle of trying to get the developer to do anything......over again easter tuesday for a week, sorry we'll miss the bbq.
