Maybe Some Help

Supposing we lose all or most of our cash,

We have been told that any losses can be offset against any capital gains that you may have in the future.

Our Notary first told us this when we organised our POA for our court case & has also been confirmed by our accountant.

This may not help everyone but maybe of use to some.

Our government do not seem too bothered with our problems so maybe they will end up paying !

Has anyone else been told this ?

I wonder if that could include the 6% legal interest we're also losing too.

I was also told this by my accountant  although I wont  need to use it now .

Just a thought but if you do get your deposit back ,is it seen as income for the current year when it comes back in to the UK .  Even if the amount was already taxed or non taxable in the year you sent it over . A bit of a grey area I think ? or all concerned .
