Bar Abanicos

Hi,

Can someone please enlighten me as to exactly where this, rather nice looking bar is and when it`s actually open.

We tried to find it once but to no avail, the website looks really interesting.

Anyone over 17th to 24th May BTW...

It's a lovely bar but unfortunately it can be rather expensive last year they were charging approx 7 to 8 euros per cocktail.  We were there the last 2 weeks of June and the bar was open.

A good way to spot the entrance is a small fan above the doorway.

Definately a place to visit once during your stay in the summer, the ambiance is great although as already mentioned not cheap.  The cocktails are around 8 euro's but the pina colada actually comes in a full size pinapple!  Beer is also sold by the bottle for around 4-5 euro's.

It is so different to anything else in san juan we always suggest to guests they pop in for a drink/look.

Any news anyone on Montisol and if it is going to re open for the summer?

Casa de la vega (Montesol) is under new management (again) and is due to reopen in about a month.

Bar Abanicos is usually open from the middle of June to the middle of September. As already said, it is a bit expensive but well worth a visit. Our teenage sons love the place and spend quite a lot of time there!!! I haven't been to a bar like it anywhere and have to go at least once during our time in the summer there, Lynn
