WE have a level 3 and level 2 president (the same person) WHO HAS A CONTRACT WITH ML TO SUPPLY ALL THE CLEANiNG AND SERVICING FOR THEIR KEY HOLDING SEViCES.

She also has all the power to authorise the repairs to the pools and ares around her gardens. the work is completed by her son another president and she signs the cheques!!!!!

The resorts rules clearly states that no president can have a business that conflicts on has any conection with the comunity ( this should read unles ML like you.))

We have been hijaked by major keyholders and ML supporters who have all to gain witrh ML being maitained.

Look at the major web site also known as the how great is condadfo and ML website!!! the person running this is the same person that has systematicly supported ML in many fictishous names on here. gets vast amounts of income from ML for services and now signs all the cheaques. Dont forget that the website is all to proome her property selling business on here

You have had to listen to many points of veiw on this forum... but remember alot have nothing to gain but the good of the community and these people post their names the rest are all the people that have financial gain from ML staying in power be careful who you trust.. it is your money and you will be the loser not them in the end!!!!!!!!.

Peter excellent post, I didnt realise this! Why couldnt you have been posting this information earlier, you may have opened some people eyes.

This is the first direct accusation of wrongdoing that I have seen on this forum. It makes a change form the vague negative inferences that have been banded around this forum for the past 3 weeks. I do agree that on the surface it does sound like these presidents have a conflict of interest.

However it appears that you need 25% of the property owners to support you of you wish to call an EGM, I think that you may struggle to achieve this many. What do you propose to do?

What a mess is an understatement, there is a recovery route but it is not avalable to you all until those with the rose tinted glasses wake up and realise that their very investment in CDA and the dream is seriously at risk.

The law of HPL which governs all Communities in Spain comes down very clearly on the side of the owners... the administrator is an employee ... take control of him and do it very soon or you are consigned to a period of misery... that advice comes from a person with more exeperience in real life Spanish business and real life community administration than any other contributor to this forum.

I read your post with great interest, however, for those like me who are not in the know please name the company and people involved including fictitious names. Unfortunately, I fear if you don’t this could be read as more finger pointing and accusation without any fact.

People who read comments on this forum are easily in danger of thinking it is a true representation of what life is like on CDA and that the views expressed are accurate and shared by the majority of residents. What I realised when I attended my first AGM last week was that this view is hugely far from accurate and that the vast majority of owners are Spanish and move in very different circles to the Brits who mainly contribute here.

Of course there are people who have self interest at heart when they put something on this forum and why are people surprised when there may be some greasing of palms and insider dealing going on. That's how the world works and especially so in Spain. But as long as things keep moving along and improving, which normal owner really is that bothered.

Me thinks some people protest too much. I am curious as to why people who dont allegedly live on CDA spend so much time venting their opinion about our affairs, I suspect because they like the drama, a bit like canteen tittle tattle and the buzz of winding others up.

Deal with the here and now and work with the facts and not get over excited about gossip and outsider influence which could be interpreted as deliberate sabotage.

The next twelve months are important in many ways. We do need to recover around 50% of our debt eventually, we will never recover the rest. If that is not achieved we will be in trouble as the essential maintenance that needs to happen will not be affordable and owners will need to pay for that themselves. I for one am already starting to prepare for that eventuality now- saving up!

People need to keep their eye on the ball, which is the progress on the debt issue and not get distracted by side issues and personalities who seek to liven up their own lives by winding up others.

I hope potential customers, investors and new owners really don't use this forum as their main source of information before they decide to buy, because if they did, we really are in trouble. Be constructive, not destructive. Work within the parameters of what we have and seek change by negotiation not by stamping of feet and weak arguments.

The only saving grace is that between the sickly over the top nonsense that we see on the CDA Services website and the overly negative verbal squabbles and insults that we get on here, we actually arrive at somewhere near reality, which is something in the middle. Everybody on here is a very small minority.JF

As a new owner i am a little perturbed at what i have read, however l have to ask what the attendance is like at the AGM's? I will be definatly be planning a visit at AGM time and would hope lots of other intrested parties do too. With such a fragmented member base perhaps it would be prudent for owners/residents to arrange their own meeting off site where we none residents can meet and talk to the presidents and residents prior to the AGM! it has already been said this is our money that is being spent, on a seperate note l found this site purely by accident and no one has ever infirmed me of the managment setup on CDA and that may be the place to start with all new owners.

I will try to follow what happens at Condado closely for the next 12 months. It’s important to protect your investment, not everyone wants the best for you always. But all actions must be based on facts and consequence.

I really enjoy my time at CDA, I try to visit 6-7 times/year. As I work full time here back home, that’s all I get. Next summer I will try to spend 7-8 weeks there. It’s the best investment I have ever made, maybe not economically (I don’t rent out either), but in quality of life. I like it when things around me are clean and tidy, and I want it to stay that way. We can start to see that Condado is not brand new anymore, painting and replacing of tiles in gardens/pools is needed next year. I have already prepared to pay extra for that, this is something the community MUST do. If it can be done without extra payment that is of course the best thing, but if not it still has to be done. If not, then we are in trouble. What is written on here is not that important I think, I read it before I made the purchase almost 2 years ago. Not all positive back then either. But after doing more research and visiting this beautiful resort for 1 day, I went ahead and bought. Had Condado not looked this great, I would have invested my money elsewhere.

Steady on the there svh and JF, this isn't the place for calm, articulate, reasoned and dispassionate assessments. Don't you know that only angry ill-informed and personal insult filled rants are tolerated now?

Matryd said it how it is , ML got majority of vote accept it and move on, insulting comments when you don't get your own way is playground behaviour. A small minority spouting their bile are painting a completely untrue picture of Condado.
