Aemet, the state meteorological agency, have increased their alert level to orange from Wednesday at 6pm until Thursday at 9am, due to a probability level of 40-70% that rains of up to 50 litres per square metre in an hour could hit parts of the Murcian Region.
They warn that conditions are perfect for a Gota Fría to occur and although it is impossible to predict exactly where the rains will be heaviest, the regional government has activated the Inunmur pre-emergency plan and warned residents to check their own personal defences due to the high probability of heavy rain.
