I haven't been on the forum for a while but we completed and few weeks ago before all this kicked off and we'll be over in a few weeks to kit the apartment out and hopefully meet a few more of you on site.

I would like to say a big thankyou to Carol and her team over there in Spain, you are ding a wonderful job and have acheived loads in the last couple of weeks i look forward to meeting you...eventually. I am one of the ones who hasnt yet completed and i havent had a date yet to complete, obviously its all looking a bit scary! is anyone aware how many apartments have yet to be completed? Are there lots? What should i be doing now? DO i need to contact a solicitor now or should i wait to hear from Idearco, its just so confusing, i contacted my agent weeeks ago and he said that he would find out what he can, but yes you guessed it he hasnt got back to me.My husband and i are so looking forward to retiring to Spain into our apartment but it all seems to be hanging in the balance now. Any advice gratefully received, would you recommend attending the AGM in May even though i have not completed? Will i find out anything

We have not posted on the site before, but have been watching things carefully. Can we  just say a big thanks to all who are out in Spain for all the hard work thier doing on behalf of us all. We just completed at the end of February and were out at the beginning of March and apart from a few small snags the apartment is looking great and we look forward to getting out again as soon as possible and meeting you all.

Here is what my solicitor has said about completion

Dear Mr & Mrs Lynas,

Thank you for the email of Friday 11 April 2008.

Please be advised that we have received a call from the builder saying
that they will not sign any deeds at the Notary until they have the
certificate of first occupation (cedula de habitabilidad). For the
builder to receive the actual licence takes sometime and this is
generally why properties are signed for without the certifcate in place.

With the current status of Idearco no guarantee can be given that you
will receive your furniture pack or white goods. We could not sue
Idearco for non compliance as and if they do declare themselves
bankrupt  then there would be no company existing to be sued.

Looks like we could be waiting a while, also It is not in the adminstrator or committee's agenda to look at potential buyers.

calle el molino is the new road which the entrance to the vegamar is on

it may not be on google as it is just new

Hiya babbsy thanks for the update, glad to here things are moving along now. We arent over again till july but have people staying in our apartment in may, june, july and august

At least all our shouting and publicity has got things moving. Thanks to Carol and Sue for all their hard work its definatley paying off now. Just need to keep the pressure on till we get what we want with regards to the utilities. We need to get our certificates and our meters fitted and then we can all enjoy our new homes whether it be permanent or holiday.
