Sorry its taken so long for me to update, but things behind the scenes here have been really hectic.
The good news
1 the road is now completed
2 the pool is blue again, although not completely cleaned, due to the electricity situation, people have been in the pool, but the chemical balance i would not think is quite right at this time.
3 idearco have been in touch with the electricity contractor, he has now agreed to finsih off outside the complex and he is hopeful now of getting paid, and has said it is likely he will soon be in a position to give us the certificates we need for our own electricity meters. I must stress that although this is the best news yet (as he is owed in excess of 80,000 euro) this is not the electicity bill that is still outstanding from iberdrola of 7000e +.
4. water-- after negotiation i can confirm that now an agreement has been reached, and on payment of each property of 60euro, a certificate will be issued to enable private water meters to be fitted. TO ENABLE YOU TO HAVE YOUR OWN METER, AN ADDITIONAL PAYMENT OF 60E MUST BE PAID, INTO THE ACCOUNT, STATING YOUR NAME, APARTMENT ADDRESS AND WATER, WITHIN THE NEXT 30 DAYS. AFTER THIS 30 DAYS THE BUILDERS SUPPLY WATER WILL BE CUT OFF, AND THE ONLY WAY TO ACCESS WATER WILL BE TO ARRANGE YOUR OWN METER, IF THIS HAS NOT BEEN PAID.
5. more news that you would not have been aware of, is that the lifts have all been stopped for the past week. this is once again due to non payment of bills by idearco. the lift itself in esc 6 has not been paid for 5000e, and the service contract on all lifts since december has not been paid, 2.400 euro. Again after negotiaion with juan, myself and the lift company otis, we have just reached a good outcome for ourselves. we are entereing into a new service contract with otis immediatley, and they in return have agreed to pursue idearco directly for the amount owed. the only negative at this time, is that the lift on esc 6 will not be operative until the 5000e has been paid, however otis have been in contact with idearco and they are hopeful of payment within the next month. the rest of the lift should be operative from next wednesday.

other news
we are requesting that the 200euro be paid by each homeowner asap, the outstanding iberdrola bill needs to be paid as a matter of urgency, this will enable us to have a constant electricity supply, which in turn as well as cooking and lighting facilties, means we can arrange a professional clean of the pool, and start to get the complex nice and fit for habitation, also to arrange the meters (once we have the certificates) the bank account detatils are

re meeting tonight,
there is a meeting tonight, again, this is supposed to be for information purposes only, however there will be a greater number of spanish owners present, there are not many british people here at the moment. to this end it is quite worrying, as in general they still do not want to pay any money and fight through the courts for a number of years. as we will be very much outnumbered tonight, i am asking if it is possible you feel you may wish to give me your proxy vote. if so could you email me at vegamar1@yahoo.co.uk with your name and address here in the first instance, i will then be able to use it tonight, and also will be able to send a correct form for any future meetings when u are unable to attend.
Finallly re Juan Carlos. After much scare mongering on this site and emails, i can assure everyone that after extensive investigation and feeling more like a private detective (or should that be defective) to my knowledge he does not and has not worked for idearco, he is in his 4th year as adminsitrator at fontana 1, in his 2nd yr in fontana 2 and comming up for a 2nd term in fontana 3, he has also just been approached by rafal site, to be thier adminsitrator. i have spoken with presidents of 2 of these sites, who have assured me that they are more than happy with him, he works tirelessley on thier behalf, is some 200euro per month cheaper than any other local adminsistrator, attends meetings after hours, is always availabale in an emergency, and has sorted out all thier problems, which have been similar to ours, in a way they feel no one else would be able to achieve. i also found out that the derrogatory email that was posted on this site about him, came from a contact that has a personal grudge against juan and in no way reflected his work. (the actual facts point to him doing a good job for the community which caused this grudge). I therefore hope that everyone will now give him the support and recognition for the good job that he is doing on our behalf.
Well that should be the lot. I thank all of you that have been to see me, and all your kind emails of support, believe me when im sitting here at 1am sorting everything out, it does help. im sorry i do not always have much time when you are over, but as soon as this is all sorted out i really look forward to meeting you all by a nice clean pool, and having a lazy day.
