Yes but it took some arm wrenching, also lots of time, lots of non returned calls etc from Parador...it was only when I got the AIPP involved (Well they didn't do sod all, excuse the French) that they unbelievably sent me a cheque within a week or so. I think between them they just agreed to 'pay me off'??!! Synical? - damn right!! (Language again Timonthy...) as Parador sit as a fully paid up member within the AIPP, albeit one who joined 'after' the fiasco which is ACC, AIPP say they can't do a thing.....read on it'll make your ears curl - corruption is alive and well., its all in the timing but this aint funny no more...stop it Sal, have a beer??

'The AIPP was launched on March 10th 2006, and Parador became Members on the same day. From this date, they have agreed to follow the Code of Conduct and to be bound by the Disciplinary Procedure; our jurisdiction is therefore limited to incidents since that date and we cannot investigate, or hold a Member to account for, any matter occurring before that date'.

Is this the £750 stg. that we paid first day to join the Parador owners club.   We paid at the start and eventually asked for our money back..   All we got was a long letter giving the state of play at ACC, and no money.....i think we were just tossed off.   How do we get our money back.

Hi Les / All,

It was the aftersales fee (Use that term very loosley!!). We paid £450 not £750, I didn't think there was differing fee amounts???

I tried to contact anyone and everyone at Parador (Even the direcot bloke who puts his name on the updates - ) and really struggled...these two below managed to sort for me in the end, please try them they were pretty good in the end at sorting out my issue with the fees.

Good luck!

Sal

also paid £450.

I know things could have been better, but lets be honest, what can Parador offer you at the moment? It's not their fault the planning process went t!ts up (I know they should have made sure it was all sorted before selling them, but that applies to all agents).

Their aftersales can only be judged when the period it is intended for is active - BUILDING and handover. If they deliver what they promised (progress reports, photos, pre-snagging checks etc), I know being UK side, will be helpful (£450 worth I don't know!).

I know it would make very little difference to me if Parador sent the same letter each week saying "no change". And to be fair, when something official has been announced, they have contacted us relaying that info.

Keep smiling, it's even sunny in Manchester today so everything isn't doom and gloom, honest!
