Promotors Are Cancelling Building Licences

As we're hopefully getting near to completion, I need to sort out home insurance!  Is home insurance in Spain the same as in the UK ie, you need building and contents insurance? 

Does anyone have any recommendations of home insurance Companies?

I guess the next thing to think about will be Wills.

Normally your mortgage supplier will insist and arrange building insurance for you. Contents insurance is not mandatory but of course essential. I can recommend  Steve Hasset at Villadirect for all your insurance needs.

I would also like to suggest Mapfre who I have just got a quote from and saved lots of money, the first year must go through the Mortgage company but after that you can get your own, I have just saved over €300 going with Mapfre who do life insurance as well, essential if you have a Spanish mortgage.
