I would like to take this chance to say hello to everyone. My name is Paul Anderson and I have bought ( I think) an apartment in Phase 2 Arenal Duquesa.

I have read all of your posts with interest and your probably going to think I am mad but I have to admit I have just been waiting patiently for it to be ready without worrying too much.

I am definatly going to sit it out but I feel I need better legal representation for compensation etc etc.

Can anyone suggest the best we have found so far? Contact details of an English speaking lawyer would be very much appriciated.

Unfortunatley we have pulled out we have been waiting since October 2004 and really wanted it, it was not to be. We have now purchased an apartment near Selwo Hills it is built and completion date is due 28 September 2007.(we hope)

The solicitor that Gus recommended is fantastic and really keep you in the loop.

Did you manage to get your deposit refunded in full, or are you still waiting?

I went to the lawyers & he said he would get my deposit back the Insurance gentleman who is dealing with it is on holiday until 6th September but should be returned soon after.  I need this to make up my short fall as the new apartment is a lot more expensive but then I am getting a lot more for it.
