That sounds really promising,
I have spoken to an agent in spain today and he advised people have been arrested in the townhall because they have illegally signed planning permission and building work commenced before the whole thing had been signed off he advised that Almanzora will go ahead and have full backing off all banks but when, who knows?, and that Almanzora has had issues regarding planning permission for atleast the last 3 years.
Back on a more cheery note, Hopefully within the next few weeks/months it will be full steam ahead.

Jenny that is not true as NO WORK can be done on Almanzora Country Club
Or have you forgot that it is under COURT ORDER and untill that court Order is lifted by the judge of the high court then I repeat NO WORK can be done on ACC so where did you see the diggers?
NOT on ACC that I do know
So please state just where exatly did you see those diggers that you are on about

There has been equipmnt on site for months. Was it actually being used? We've received a letter today dated 24th October from Huma. They still can't give a date for work re-starting but the implication is that it will be quite soon, part onf the letter says;
"We will get it soon, and I prefer wait only a little bit more and tell you anything sure than tell you my personal guess and then fail. Anyway what it is sure is that we are at the end of this situation and from all the documentation that we had to do to be able to get the license, we are only missing the signature from one person and then a quick paperwork and then we will be able to go back to the site. We are very confident rhat this entire situation will be short it very soon, please trust me, soon i will be able to send you a letter letting you know that we have the license and that we can go back to the site."
I've double checked and that's a warts and all copy as written

I don't think that you read my post as you ask Jenny a silly question this is what you ask
Quote ""Was it actually being used?"" Unquote
Under a court Order from the high court Huma would not even think of even moving any one of the cranes or any other machine that Ferrovial had no time to remove
A Court Order is a Court Order and until that is lifted nobody can work on ACC (Apart from the Guards)

I understood your reply, but wanted to confirm whether Jenny had actually seen the equipment being used. We've seen loads of gear there, loads of supplies there but no action. The implicaton was it was there and being used, court order or not. Remember how much work has been already done without the correct permission. Lets see what the promising sounding letter from Huma brings.

I can asure you that since the court Order to STOP work on ACC nothing has been touched I live in Gijon Asturias Spain and I am in contact with the Town Hall of Cuervas del Almanzora on A weekly bassic's as well as other people in Almeria
If Huma got anybody working on the Site they would be violating the High Court Judges Order and that would mean very grave problems for Huma and anyone doing such a thing. So I will tell you once again that no body is working on ACC first of all they have to have that Court Order lifted and the only person who can do that is a High Court Judge in the Courts
The diggers that were seen by Jenny were nothing to do with ACC. But those of some farmer laying an under ground water pipes
(Remember that the Builders are Ferrovial one of the biggest in Spain,Europe and South America they would not even risk doing such a thing look up Ferrovial on thier web sites and you will see just how many thousands of people work for them)

I think you missed my point. I was querying Jenny, just as you did. I merely wanted her to confirm what she thought she had seen. We've seen loads of equipment on site but no sign of anyone. Not even security. I know the implications of the court order, but we're talking about Spain here. Can we put this bit to bed now?

Hi Jenny
We have put a deposit on ACC nearly 2 years ago and haven't been out there since due to not much happening. I am a little concerned however as my brother who has also bought there drove down to Almanzora yesterday and couldn't find it anywhere.
I take it there are no signposts anywhere for ACC as he was completely lost and the people he asked around Dessert Springs hadn't even heard of Almanzora Country Club. How easily is it to find if you haven't been there before

Hi,
We are going out the weekend of 15th December for a check. If there are any Huma Staff on site we are going to asertain the current state of our Apartment. Our agent, Ultra Villas, do not seem capable of finding out if it is an outline on a piece of mud, a shell or something with walls.
Our Apartment was due to be completed last weekend !
If there is any query we can help other purchasers with we will ask . ( The obvious question is whats the current situation ? ! ?).

Hi
Do you know where your apartment was on site? I have quite a few photos that we took in October. There are varying degrees of build. I could possibly work out if its on one of my photos. Considering a the problems you'll probably be surprised to find exactly how much is there. Let me know if you haven't got directions yet

I have just added some photos. If I've worked it out correctly these are blocks B, C & O. The 4 photos, if printed, will overlap and give a view of the 3 blocks that are directly in front of you as you enter the site. Block B is the one most completed, Block O is the pile of rubble on the left

Also added some other photos of the site. This is from the top road. Again the photos should overlap and show the site from left to right. Haven't actually got around to trying this with these yet, but they should be close.

Hi everyone
I am so pleased I found this on the Eye in Spain! We purchased a property on ACC 13 months ago through MRI. We paid our deposit and was told our place would be ready in February 06. Now, even with the spanish "manana" I dont think its gonna happen! Its been great reading your comments, we dont hear anything from MRI unless we contact them and they just give us the same old story. The major has said yes and work would commence again in September. Obviously, from reading your comments, this has not happened. Does anyone know whats going on? We went and had a look at the site in May this year, and was assured that everything would get going again after the holidays in August. Your photos look the same as when we were there MikenMandy. This is so frustrating!!!! If anyone has any more news please let us know. Thanks and I'll keep in touch - just in case I hear something good (or not). Regards

Hi Kaz and Dave ,
We also bought through M.R.I. in oct 2005 completion feb 2007 and guess what they dont want to talk to us either we wernt even informed that building had stopped even though we were emailing them all the time ive had 2 emails in the last month which i have posted on the owners forum that seems to be the best place to find out what is going on ,I was more or less told not to bother them any more but to contact our non existant solicitors in future. Everyone who we had any contact with seems to have left the company they now have area reps ours is called Debbie Patton but shes the one who told us to deal with solicitor so shes not much help Sorry to be so negative but thats how M.R.I. make me feel.
Hazel.

I bought through Parador Properties who at the time said they were the only agents selling these properties!
I paid 3,000 GBP deposit back in October 2004 with a completion date of June 06.
I paid a further 30,000 GBP by December 2004.
I am now trying to get my money back but finding it very hard. I have bank guarantees and the builders are in breach of contract 30th December 2006 so I will probably be cancelling then if nothing has happenend by then.
I am very frustrated and upset and not getting much help from Parador or Aldea Advisors to let me know after 30th December when I can get any money back which is ridiculous as I have bank guarantees.
