I find your comments offensive and wonder why you have bought on MCC?

Or maybe, as I read it, he was having a 'go' at all those on this, and other sites (viva), who slag of large urbanisations, such as MCC, ACC, etc, and refer to them as council estates (although, I'm at a loss as to why these people, the ones that do the slagging, think that there is something wrong with council estates). I would, also, think that the reference to not wanting to speak Spanish, etc., was another dig at those who slag off large urbanisations. As these very same people encourage others to buy in Spanish villages and to go native, not what most of us want, well not what I want anyway - if it was, I wouldn't have bought on ACC in the first place.

Peter, Paddy
gente de alojamiento municipal??? (council house types??)
Well at least you've now got a pot to p155 in after all this time! Better watch out for the welcoming committee though. Sounds like they will be lying in wait for you!

Hi
It sounds like it's going to be fun in Manzana 36! - what accommodation is on M36?
We need to go over and have a look at both Mazzarron and Tabernas shortly to make a decision on what we intend to do, can anyone tell me if the properties are the same as at ACC and are there many left? Did you get good deals bearing in mind that prices have dropped over the last 3 years and have you all got BG for the money you have paid/transferred to MCC or the other? Where did everyone stay whilst there and did you arrange your visit through Huma? In other words did they take you around or did you just turn up and have a look for yourself and then present yourself at the sales office?
Sorry lots of questions!!!
Kind regards
Mave & John

Muchas gracias for those kind words, Sensa
There are only a couple of properties left (if any at all), Mave and John. If you contact Huma they will give you an update.
The deals are: 10% of list price at MCC, and the same price, as you paid at ACC, for the same/similar type of property at OTCC.
I believe that BG's are now being issued for OTCC - not needed on MCC as the properties are 'key ready'.
I contacted Pilar at Huma, and she emailed me the details of the available properties at MCC. I chose a plot, then emailed Huma to reserve it. I booked a flight; met Pilar on site; visited the property; decided to take it; did the paperwork the same day. Others have flown out with Parador, and have had them ferry them around.
Hope this helps, Peter

People, people,
Steady on.... I was born in a council house, loved it, best days of my life, great neighbours and life long friends....
so I am not taking a dig at people from Council Estates, and if I was I would have made it very clear!!!!
I am taking a dig at the builder, and the rather small abode of which I now call my place in the sun.
Its not what I signed up for in 2004, but I have a really good feeling about "our street" at 36

IWe were out in Spain 3 weeks ago and saw our solicitor re court proceedings etc. He 150% sure we will get our money back eventually. I asked what if Huma Med went bust as OCC is being built by a company Huma Indalo.
He said as the principal people of each company were linked he could place an "embargo" on Huma Indalo assets (properities at OCC) and force there sale through the court to get our money back. So I believe Hicky is correct.

I'm 100% sure that you will get your money back eventually, Mark. I just hope that you're young enough to enjoy it How confident was he on also getting costs? I ask this because when I broached the subject with my solicitor last year, she was also confident that Huma would have to pay eventually, but said that it was 50 - 50 whether we would get awarded costs (she was very confident that she would get paid, as she wanted a few grand upfront ).
Anyway, best of luck
Peter

I am fortunate Pete, I do not need to wait for our second stage payment we complete on a 2 bed apt in Vera Playa 23.07.08, its bigger than the one on Aldea del Sur and as its fully furnished & air conditioned its cheaper in real terms.
The solicitor was confident about costs & intrest but did not think compensation would be quite as striaght forward

I was told that if I claim X from the court and the court finds in my favour but the award is for less than X, then each party will have to pay their own costs.
On this basis I was advised to stick to the amounts we can prove we have paid (i.e. have receipts for).

Hi all
Does anyone no what the next stage is or how long we should have to wait for any news after the solicitor issues the writ to the courts, because our solicitor said it was going to be done any day, that was 2 weeks ago and I dont want to phone again, I now feel a nuisence for keeping on at them ,but I get up every morning hoping for some good news, but of course there is none ,but am I in my rights to keep on does anyone else feel the same?

Trudge
Our writ was issued on 06 Jan 2008, apparently there is a backlog at the courts due a 3 month strike Jan to end of March and we are still waiting for a court date.

First court date (12 - 18 months) is to decide whether there may be a case to answer. If it is decided that you have a case, then you are giving a date for the case to be heard (at least another 12 months). You will be told at the first appearance whether you will be required to attend the main case.
