Hi Jackie,

Have tried to understand bits but there is a terrible buzzing noise which prevents me from understanding it all.  It is definately about Trampolin Hills and the interviewer is asking what the situation is at present.  The mayor appears to be quite nervous as he is constantly fiddling with his pen, which also adds to the interference level.  I will send the link to a Spanish friend and as for translation.

I really hope this is genuine and not a set up.  Don't for one minute think I am trying to be negative because I am one of the firm supporters for this to go ahead but why would the mayor let this take place if he is that nervous about the situation.  Don't you think there is a possibility that he may have wanted this so that he could put over his bias point of view!  When we get the translation perhaps we should consider it with the above in mind.  Fingers crossed that it is genuine though.  

I forwarded it on to TH to see what their views were on it.  I will let you know what they have to say if anything.

My spanish is not relevant to even talk about, BUT the fact that the mayor is communicating, it is something.

As far as I am getting this, he is not allowed to vote until his hability question is solved. How long time can that take?

Regarding the mail cpboyd received from PP, it is not enough that they, PP, vote for, they need an absolute majority, meaning that they also need the mayors vote.

But again in my mind this is just polemics, they need to find a quick solution, and not hide behind rigid rules....exceptions from rules are also possible, extreme situations sometimes requires extreme solutions.

Thanks for that :) . Glad it wasnt just me regarding the buzzing noise!! Just coming up to the end of my first year beginners Spanish so was a bit worried when I could not fathom the video at all !! lol

I think it is good that enough interest in this case has been generated for the television company to think it worthy of being rescheduled.  I had thought
that the opportunity had been missed with Antonio not attending the first Debate.

Cash-back promise for Trampolín buyers
 
“CLIENTS will be able to recover their money after the sales contracts they signed have expired,” Grupo Trampolín’s (GT) chief executive Juan Francisco Canales stated during a TV interview on Murcia’s regional channel Canal 6.

According to GT’s lawyer Diego de Ramón, Trampolín Hills golf resort in Campos del Río is not a fraud and the guarantees issued by Swiss Financial are valid. He said: “Swiss Financial guarantees have been accepted by eight different town halls and regional administrations in Spain.

“They would not have accepted the guarantees if they were not valid.” However, lawyer Francisco Valdés and GT property buyer Domingo Marín were not able to come to an agreement during the TV debate.

Sr Marín reported he had tried to get his money back through Swiss Financial and he was not able to do so. He said: “I was told by GT construction work would start at Christmas and then I was told it would start in March and then it had been scheduled for July.

“The project has not been approved yet and the whole affair has started to smell bad. “That is why I tried to get my money back – unsuccessfully.”

His lawyer Francisco Valdés then asked GT’s Sr de Ramón to show him the statement from the special bank account where the money had been paid in by the clients – a total of 52 million euros.

He said: “If you show me the statement I will withdraw the criminal lawsuits against GT and its president Antonio Martínez.” However Sr de Ramón admitted most of the money had been invested in buying diggers, palm trees, land, in paying for works to flatten land at Trampolín Hills resort, in paying the tax office and in paying the companies that provided the guarantees.

Sr de Ramón added: “GT can respond to its clients with the company assets.” He also announced he would present civil court cases against local and regional civil servants on June 10.

He said: “They will have to respond with their personal assets and they will not be protected by their political parties.” Campos del Río mayor Miguel Navarro has also said he will not resign from his post.

He added:“Another solution to approve the housing scheme must be found.” According to GT’s lawyer the matter can only be solved by the courts.

Unfortunately without the Mayor resigning, I cannot see a way forward from this debacle. Wait till the next election? When is that? The Mayor may still be in charge after this? Or if he he isnt, will the promoters have the money to build? with so many lawsuits being instigated against GT?  So many questions not enough answers.  Its in the Mayors hands and unless the automous authority of Murcia get rid off him somehow then what other avenues are there??
