Has Anybody any pictures of Jardine 2 or indeed any news on the progress being made there? I'm due to sign on 8th july in Jardine 02 and I haven't heard anybody mention Jardine 02, or seen any pics. from anybody who has been there to see how its coming on etc.. Also, if anybody who is also completing in Jardine 02, in the near future, I'd like to say 'Hi' and 'Good Luck' and I hope to chat with you and/or hear from you soon. Regards. Geoff.

Hi Geoff,
We have bought on Jardin 2, plot 200 and are due to complete on July 10th (via POA).  We are also waiting to hear from someone else who has completed there so we are in the same boat as you.  We are not going to the property until Sep 10th as we had booked a holiday in August before we realised the completion dates were going to be early!!  Look forward to meeting you and other neighbours on our hopefully frequent visits over the next few years.
Michelle & Paul

Geoff / Paul

We're in Jardin 2 as well. Was originally given a completion date of 04/07/08, but asked PW to delay until 18th, and they agreed no problem....

We're going over to snag and complete ourselves, then going back mid Aug to (hopefully) stay in the Apartment - or rent somewhere nearby if thats not possible.

I certainly intend to ask my Solicitor to confirm that the Habitation Licence is ready before we go out (I'll start asking around end June / early July),  as the "pioneers" who were due to complete this week have been experincing issues.  I'd be slightly miffed if we got right up to the Notary appointment before PW mentioned the lack of the licence...  and like the others on this forum have done, I'd refuse to complete without it.

Hope everything goes well for you.

Out of interest, are any of you intending to rent your apartments out at all?  We have family who occasinally like to stay on the Jardines whilst wer're there, and we have 2 kids - so we were looking for options for them to stay close-by (ideally in the same Jardin) rather than having to camp on our sofa bed.    Probably wouldn't be until next Spring/Summer but if either of you are intested, please send me a PM.

Thanks
Russ

Hi Michelle,Paul and Russ, I'm very pleased to meet you all and hopefully we will have no problems when it comes to our turn to complete.(Though I seriously doubt we will be so lucky, judging by the posts of ones who have tried to complete already) Anyway I'm sure it will all be sorted out eventually................... As it happens, it seems like I will be the first to complete (out of us anyway) so I will keep you posted on this thread about everything I think you will find helpful or interesting and some photos too. I am also gonna snag the apartment myself, a day or so before I sign Russ. It will be awkward to install Air Conditioning if there is no electric, but hopefully there will be some electric and water on so we might be able to stay in the apartment, if all the documents are in place..... I will probably leave furnishing the apartment until a time in the near future, when I know that the electric and water is on. I read that if the builders water is left on, it's probably not gonna be warm water to shower etc. But time will tell.... I saw great inflatable double and single beds with their own sleeping bags and pillow attached and a carrier bag with strap too. (single around £20-double £39.99) They roll up into a size that one can carry onto the plane as hand luggage (even the double) and Argos also has a battery operated pump (£5.99) for pumping it up. They should be ok for several nights until you get a bed for your property and then you might keep them in your wardrobe, in case you need them for visitors staying in the future. (worth a thought) I hope to keep in touch and have some enjoyable times at our new apartments... Here's to good times and the Future! Kind Regards. Geoff.

Hi

Just re air con. We are using polar air and getting them to install air con a few days after we complete and they bring their own generator so do not need to rely on elec etc when installing and checking them if they work once installed.

Hope this helps

Kelly

Hi

We are also in Jardin 2 due to complete on 1st July if all the necessary paperwork is in place !!!!  we just happened to have been going out the weekend before the completion date (didn't know this at the time of booking the flights) I have asked to bring the completion date forward to 27th June but have not had comfirmation as yet as they don't know if the paperwork will be ready in time.  They are allowing us to snag on the 27th June and our solicitors has Power of Attorney in any case so it is no great shakes if it doesn't happen while we are there would just help us a little. We are in J0129 and we will be looking to rent it out as soon as it is ready hopefully we can tap into the rental market when they start completing on the next phase of properties...!!

Hi all,
We are also buying in garden 2 and its great to hear from some of our new neighbours. We are due to complete on June 18th, we bought the date forward because we are going over in august on holiday and we wanted to give ourselves as much time to sort out furnishings as pos. We are doing our own snagging so we'll try and get some good photos to post for you.
Best of luck to the rest of you with your own completions.
Jo & Harvey
