Hi Annie
I found this comment on the Polaris World forum:
"we went to the park and the kids loved it. It isn't very big but there are some good slides for the older kids (have to be over 120cms) and a good pool with water shoots etc for the younger ones. my youngest also insisted on going around the zoo, not really my thing in the mid day heat - but it was quite enjoyable and only took 1/2 hour to walk around"
So it is open, but you are right, it probably isn't that big. We are going over at the end of this month for our holiday so we will give it a try! Might be a bit hot for the zoo though!

Hi Jo
Sounds good! I guess I was thinking along the lines of Disney Animal Kingdom & Blizzard beach combined (a bit over the top maybe ). Well worth a trip out anyway. Think we'll have to do both Torre & Murcia!!
We're over the end of July as well (school hols!) & can't wait! Over for 5 weeks this time (I sooooo won't want to come home again!!)

Well, this thread fell off the bottom of the page again so thought I'd drag it back up!
I'm in full throttle wind up to hol mode now - & just wondered if anyone had any good vino recommendations? I keep reading about liria on other threads but have never bought it as I tend to avoid the cheaper ones thinking they won't be any good - have I been missing out?? Have a fear of it being like the free wine they give out at the chinese ( I,ve never had the gumption to tell them 'no thanks - it's vinegar'!)
Anyone use the bodega? Are the ones out of the casks any good??
Hope I don't sound like an alco! (hic!)

Hi All
Well another rainy day!!!! No wonder I've got flu. Getting a bit stir crazy now. Can't wait to get a bit of sun. Annie, at the moment any vino would go down nicely, make a change from benelin and antibiotics.

I am sending you "get well" wishes (and im a nurse you know so they WILL work!) and in return i have borrowed your shoes - hope you dont mind - you wont be going out for a day or two and really you should wrap up well and wear warm boots now - it might be July but you are in the UK!
Dont overdo the Benilyn - its all more time before you can get back onto the vino tino
Take care
Auntie Em

Gina - you any better?? Try my Dads remedy - lemsip topped up with port (his version of port & lemon!). Always said the lemsip sorted his cold out & the port let him get a good nights sleep! (Don't suppose the medical profession would approve though!).

Aw Annie, Gina's proper poorly. She's needing more than lemsip topped up with port. I sent her a get well soon e-card complete with music. I think it was "Hello", wasn't it, G ?

Then I'd resort to slugging the night nurse Mor, or there's always Gina's usual remedy - half a bottle of vodka (perhaps not too good an idea with antibiotics though!

Hi all, back from a fabulous 2 weeks. Weather was in the high 30s low 40s with strong breezes on the beach - fabulous! Caught a few of the open air concerts at San Javier - even Paul Anka who looked not a day over 40 - all fantastic - thanks to all who helped me get the tickets.
Experienced fabulous fish and had paella at the fish restaurant on the beach at La Ribera - Gina you're so lucky to be there - great place. Back to this weather is truly awful and i'm missing the vino collapso already. The main Spanish holidays started as I left and our village filled up in less than an hour! I've never seen so many people arrive in one place all at the same time!
best wishes
Jane

hi gina
typical women when not well ,got a cold and you take to your bed
have a baby and you take a year off work.
unlike men .we never moan or complain we just carry on working
to put food on the table so the little women can stay at home
watching day time tv

So glad you enjoyed yourself, Jane.
Paul Anka's one of my favourite singers.
Here's a video of him singing "Put your head on my shoulder" & then "Diana" & "My Way"

Know the feeling Jane - never mind - one day In the meantime just trying to keep dry!!
Can't believe the flights have come out so early this year (it was beg of Sept last year). They obviously want our money!! Really annoying when the price starts off quite low, but by the time taxes, charges for each case (each way!) & credit card charges (per person, per flight) are added - doesn't look that cheap any more!! I had to take an educated guess at Oct 08 school hols as they aren't published by the school yet (bit of a give away though when the price went walloping up!)
