Hi All
Does anyone know anything about keeeping a boat on the mar menor ie costs etc?
i really fancy buying a boat and just sailing it round the mar menor any help would be nice.

We are buying in Roldan and have just returned from spending 7 weeks holiday in Mar Menor. We understand that a licence is needed from the Spanish Authorities. We have been told that there are few berthing places available,Los Nietos was mentioned and that berthing is expensive.The Mar Menor is a wonderful area. Hi I know you can pay 7.50euros to launch at los nerajos
and was told that a lot of the boats in the mar menor are just left with no charge
some guy said to me buy a boat and just leave it there it will be right get a rock chain and bouy then swim to it.
sounds great to me any info would help

Hi All
Had a great time in Mar Menor. Never seen it in Summer before so was very different, although not too busy. Lots of room on the beach  . Found a lot of new places this time and enjoyed every minute. Going back again at end of month so not too long to wait. We tried the wok buffet and the kids really liked it. The weather was glorious so was nice to have a chilling hol this time without running around for furniture etc. Home from home, great

Hi All,
Any new restaurant reviews or things to see? We found the mud baths at San Pedro and it is a lovely surrounding area and great Marina. Also managed Cartegena which was beautiful. The boat trip to La Manga is worth it. It's surprising how much further it actually is to how near it looks, if you know what I mean.  .

See you're looking for ways to get to Ibiza Gina - not off clubbing are you???
Be careful round the back streets of Cartegena - we got 'charged' by the local gyppos to park our car in bit of waste ground (thought we'd have no tyres when we got back if we didn't cough up!) - when we got back they'd disappeared (funny that) but this toothless old hag chased us round the car demanding more euros - cheeky mare. When we told her 'no' (polite version) she tried to 'deflate' our tyres  . Moral of the story - don't get lost around the back streets like we did!!

Great idea Gina - wondered where it'd gone. Any one over for Easter? Think I'm going with friends and their grandkids to visit the baths at Archena again. Great day out for everyone.
Someone said that there's usually some things on for families and kids at Los Alcazares - anyone got anymore info? I'm also looking out for the San Javier jazz festival programme for June/July. Not seen anything out yet. Also want to visit IKEA in Murcia but bet I'll get lost!!
