Been to IKEA several times and got really lost first time. It is the first or second turn off AFTER theUniversity sign. I think it has an A after the road number so well worth checking that bit as you drive up.You see the sign high up as you approach (on the right). First time for replying! We were in San Javier last week, and called in at the town hall. We enquired about the jazz festival, they have a few artists already, but they told us to check the website. As far as I can remember, they have Isaac Hays, Jonny Winter, Robert Cray.
Re: buying a place on the Mar Menor, we bought at Senoria de Roda about 2 years ago, it's great, we love it, no problems really. Just nice to relax when we can get over there, we have our townhouse for sale at the moment, as we are buying at Roda Golf and Beach club.
Where is Archena, and what baths?
Sorry if I've rambled on
Diane

Thanks all for your great replies. Isaac Hayes at San Javier - wow I just have to go - Gina - fancy a trip! I'm going to try to get to Ikea so that tip is probably going to save me hours of driving round in circles.
Archena is just the other side of Murcia. Huge indoor spa pool with inset jacuzzis, hot and cold plunge pools and 'river' from the pool that sweeps through waterfalls - it is really nice. Outdoor pool and small cafe too.

Hi all. Not sure if this is the right area for this enquiry. I have an apartment for holiday rental in Los Alcazares and am looking for individual or Company to meet/greet customers on arrival and for apartment cleaning/laundry after customers have departed. Do you know of anyone that provides this type of service? Thanks.

We're driving Santander to San Juan de los Terreros in May and we are splitting the journey over 2 days, travelling across to Teruel and staying over night, and then down the coast . We have 2 small puppies (and I have a bad back) so didn't want to be travelling too far each day, looking at the maps this should give us 5-6 hours driving time each day plus stops. We're hoping this will give us a good look at the country as we travel.

Hi everyone
Can anyone help me with a dilemma for this summer? My daughter is 16 in August & is (reluctantly!) in Spain with me on the day. She's celebrated her birthday in Spain for the last few years & we've done most things from waterparks to shopping etc. I'm sure this year she would rather be with her friends & boyfriend but it's not possible, so I just want to do something different for her this year. Can anyone suggest any good days out in the area?? Any good boat trips or spas or anything really? Don't mind the cost (within reason lol) as she deserves a bit of spoiling after GCSE's.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated .
P.S. Hope you had a good trip Gina - found any more good restuarants??

Hi Annie,
Great weekend thanx. Not enough time though. Weather was fab.
I don't think you can beat the Pasty Shack for a birthday treat, and you get discount for being a regular there don't you?

Annie, hi, long time no contact. Our friends went on a brill boat trip for a birthday party outing, just the four of them though boat took up to 12. They had a fantastic time. Look at this site & see http://www.blueseaboating.com/index.html Tell me what you think. Sounds as if I've sorted your problem.

Blueseaboating looks great fun!
If your daughter loves the water another possibility is Watersport La Manga run by an English couple we know. We offered it for a birthday treat last July to our 15 year old and he opted for the go carting instead!

Hi guys
Thanks for the suggestions - think I'd enjoy those as well!! Will look into them all in more detail.
Watersports, horses, go karting anything like that always goes down well. Did you do the go karting by the airport Lifeline? We tried to go last summer but it was shut. Think I've seen it open since then but haven't investigated properly.
Hope you had a good holiday More

The go karting that we go to is on the edge of the road at La Manga, near Cabo de Palos. It is approx. 16 euros for 10 minutes but depends on the cc. of the go kart and your age. Haven't seen the one at the airport.
