Barney, who is 14, is missing from the campo outside Finestrat village, near Benidorm
Saturday, June 29, 2013
Posting on behalf of Julie Alexander who is Barney's owner.
Lost since yesterday afternoon, 28th June, around 5pm. Barney, he is 14 years old.
I am not sure if he has just wondered off to find his place of rest or if someone has picked him up. He has not been his self lately since starting to have epileptic fits in the last 5 weeks, he has had 3 in total. He is very placid, he cannot hear hardly at all. I live in Campo area outside of Finestrat village, on the road towards Sella/Relleu. He does not bark anymore, but is such a lovely little chap. He is chipped, with all of my contact details.
He lost his little mate Scamp last year who was 17, and seems to have gone similar to him recently, i.e. signs of dementia through old age. He has a small bald patch on his left back leg due to an attack from a bigger dog 8 Years ago. Please contact me on 633634646 if seen.
The photo was taken in the last 5 weeks, so his hair is only slightly longer than the picture.

Angie Mccready does it again, she is now feeding 3 day old Mastin pups
Friday, June 21, 2013
Violet Lusher of Barneys dog rescue in Pinoso put out a plea on Facebook for bottle feeders for five 3 day old Mastin puppies that had been taken to a vets to be put down so my friend Angie Mccready offered.
Angie is incapable of saying no when it comes to helping rescued dogs. I have written about her acts of unbelievable kindness time after time in this blog.
As it takes a lot of time trying to encourage five tiny puppies to feed another volunteer has taken two of the puppies to help out.
Barneys are funding whatever the puppies need. When they are weaned they will return to Barneys to hopefully be adopted.
If you would care to help Barneys please click on the link to their website donation page which has a donate button & bank details.
Thank you so much.

Katie & her ten puppies left for the East Midlands Dog Rescue, UK, today
Monday, June 10, 2013
Yesterday Angie Mccready spent some time with Katie & her pups knowing they were leaving for the UK early today. She has cared for the pups since 13th March when they were born into freedom at her home.
Unbelievably no one in Spain wanted these gorgeous & healthy pups or their adorable & gentle mum, Katie, so now fully passported, microchipped & vaccinated etc they have started out on the journey by road to the East Midlands Dog Rescue who have been rescuing and rehoming abandoned and unwanted dogs and puppies for almost 20 years.

Early this morning Angie HAD to say her final goodbyes to Katie & her brood.
It was difficult, very difficult. Many tears were shed, I know.
But these dogs will be very well looked after & new homes carefully vetted.
We will ever forget these little funny pups nor Katie.
Safe journey.
Angie Mccready, you did this family proud, never forget that!

Billy is really on the mend now, prayers have been answered
Monday, June 10, 2013
Billy, who is one of the ten rescued dogs Angie Mccready had taken in when he was a pup then adopted, has thankfully recovered well although the Alicante hospital did say his gut was still inflamed & he must stay on a certain diet in future.
BUT he is doing well & seems back to his usual self. I saw Billy on Sunday, a couple of weeks ago & I was so happy to see him. These photo were taken then.
We believed we were losing him but he rallied round after being cared for by the hospital in Alicante, having been messed about by the local vet.
