Spanish animals that need help

NO ONE HAS COME FORWARD OFFERING THESE LOVING DOGS A HOME. THEY ARE AT RISK OF BEING LEFT IN A POUND WHERE THEIR LIVES WILL BE UNBEARABLE AT THEIR AGE WITH THE INEVITABLE HAPPENING TO THEM .... BEING DESTROYED.

I have received this heart wrenching plea from a gentleman about his 2 dogs.
"Please can you help me find homes for my 2 dogs, I live in an apartment 6 blocks up with no lift and I have now got to work away from home and cannot take these dogs with me.

THE FIRST DOG IS LIDL a waterdog/pastor cross, female aged 9 years, not sterilised but chipped and just needs her boosters. She is loving and loyal & great with children.
Note: she has never been away from Poppy and they may require homing together... Lidl is also nervous when first meeting new dogs causing her to bark a lot but she soon settles and plays well with others.

THE SECOND DOG IS POPPY, female age: 10yrs, not sterilised but chipped and also vaccinated but in need of boosters. She is loving and loyal, great with children. She's an ex street dog, we got her from a friend when the old homeless guy who had her died.... She does tricks like sitting and praying she's so funny
Note: she has never been away from Lidl and may require homing together.

These dogs are in Benalmadena but can be transported
Adrian is heartbroken that he has no choice but to rehome these 2 beautiful girls. Can you offer them a home".

 17th May..FOUND

She was found safe today, thin but safe.

Maggie-May went missing from El Estrecho near Fuente Alamo, Murcia on the 26th April

She is shy and nervous but very sweet natured, she has an identity disc and she's chipped.

She still has her lead on. El Estrecho had 10 days of fiesta with continual fireworks going off, she was seen locally for a few days but hasn't been seen since.

Sadly, as of 30th May, there is no news of Fanta despite newspaper adverts etc.

11th May

Another day without a sign of Fanta, there was a dubious sighting in Castalla, and 7 people searched the area until early hours of the morning with no luck. Spanish personalities have retweeted her poster, so many people have been out searching the Maigmo mountain over the weekend by foot, by bicycle, on horseback, by car, all the villages and towns surrounding the maigmo now have Fanta posters.

So many people have sent the owners encouring words and given ideas. There has been no definite sighting of her at all. We hope with the word being out there that she is missing that sooner or later if anybody has her, someone will see her and call us.

There is a reward for her safe return.

Un día más sin aparecer Fanta , se ha continuado poniendo carteles por las zonas que faltaban hasta San Vicente y por la zona de Onil, se podría decir que está el Maigmó y todas las comarcas que la rodean "empapeladas". 

EL tuiter ha seguido, Santiago Segura,el cantante alicantino Alex Escribano, Pipi Estrada, Maria la Piedra han retuiteado la foto de Fanta y el super todoterreno ha estado batiendo parte del maigmo.
Se han visitado protectoras. 

Se ha tenido un aviso en un poligono de Castalla pero hemos estado hasta las 1:30 de la madrugada 7 personas buscando sin exito y no hemos podido confirmar su fiabilidad.

Nos consta que muchos amigos han salido con la bicicleta,coches,andando, a caballo, ... ayudando en su busqueda. 
Y se han preparado algunos pasos de Fauna para poder saber mañana si algún perro pasa por ellos.
Y muchos amigos dando ánimos.

Un gran esfuerzo, de muchos amigos y compañeros y seguimos sin saber de Fanta, almenos tengo el consuelo de que hay mucha gente buena, que cuando necesitas ayuda, están ahi, para echarte una mano.

9th May. 

No sign of Fanta and yesterday the owners even hired a microlight aircraft for a couple of hours to scan the forest area where she went missing from, from the sky. She really could be anywhere at this stage after five days.

  8th May.

Someone has seen her in the area of the bins in Colonia Santa Isabel between San Vicente Raspeig and Alicante. Please keep looking, especially if you know anyone in that area.
 

Fanta was lost in the Maigmo mountains (near Ibi, Alicante) 4/5/2014

She is chipped & has a red collar with her telephone no. on.

She has leishmania so needs regular medication. Please ask anyone you know in the area Agost - Tibi -Ibi -Xorret Cati .

Possible sighting in Castalla. Today her owner and friends are putting up posters in Sax, Castalla and Petrer.

READ MY STORY PLEASE............

"I am a Podenco Andaluz, one of those special Spanish hunting dogs with the extra big pointy ears. I didn't know I was special, but my two best human friends tell me all the time and that Podencos are all very special. 

I want to help the other Spanish dogs that live in the shelters, or on the streets because when I was a puppy someone left me at a shelter. I was only seven months old, I'm not sure what I did wrong but suddenly I had to share a pen with twenty other dogs, sleep on a cold concrete floor, and fight to get my food. I had some friends, but it was very cold in winter and very hot in summer. We got to play in the field once a week which was such fun. 

I spent 18 months there, and then one day my new best human friends came to see me, they took me away in a car and gave me a big cushion to sleep on and a blanket to cover me. Having human friends is the best. I want all the Spanish dogs and cats to have human friends. Please sponsor me to raise funds for the shelter and to help all dogs and cats have human friends."

Isa's thoughts are still with the Spanish dogs & cats suffering here in Spain so once again is doing the Sponsored walk in aid of SCAN & ACTIN on May 11th.

Isa, (along with Nicki and Paul) will be joining SCAN on their annual sponsored walk. This year's event is on May 11th. Isa will be walking with one of the Rescue Dogs from SCAN.

It is in El Verger, near Denia.

There are two events taking place on the same day at the same time.

The Perroton is a 5 km race , the runners can run with their dog or without a dog, the prizes in this race will only be awarded to those runners who run with their dog. The race will be supervised with Veterinary support.

The Caminata , this is a 4 Km walk which is not strenuous. all walkers can take their dogs along with them to enjoy the stroll, this is NOT a race. The Caminata will be supervised with Veterinary support.

The events will have adequate water points and communication to ensure safety for both the animals and entrants.
