Good news week

Hi everyone.
I have just received an email form the solicitors at Roquetas inviting us to make use of their services to ensure that we comply with the tax laws connected with owning a property in Spain.  It seems to me it would be more sensible to try and find a solicitor a bit closer to Vera (English speaking of course!).  Just wondering if anyone else has gone down this road yet and if there is anyone a bit more local that you could suggest.
By the way, it's raining here in Wales!

I was given the name, Antonio Tores in Mojacar Playa as a recommended Fiscal representative. I have made an appointment to go to see him in August when we are over.

He will deal with Wealth & Income Tax & someone else has told me that he will also sort out the IBI & Basura as well, which saves a visit to the town hall.

The telephone number is 950 472 748 & his offices are just after the Hostal Simon at the junction of the Mojacar Pueblo road with the road coming from Turre at the top of the hill.

I also have a document from another Fiscal Representative (far too expensive) which explains all about the taxes & how to calculate them.

We got the same email today Pauline, and was just going to ask the same question. I am sure it can be done cheaper than that, and it would be handier to have somebody closer to Vera Playa. Thanks again Noreen for your input, I will PM you for information.

Yes!  What would we do without Noreen?
We are still not sorted out with the bank.  Juan said he will sort it for us and if it proves to be difficult with Cajamar he will open an account with another bank for us as he has power of attorny.  I just hope he doesn't take too long as we want to be sure the electricity and water is all switched on in September.  Having already experienced 'manana' with the title deeds I am a bit sceptical!
