Hi,

Could I be cheeky and ask which pack you got, and the price.  Also was it a special pack for Condado?
I've looked online at the packages from homestyle but they all looked a bit big for our pettite apartments.
Did you get a complete standard park or did PW let you mix and match or add remove any items?

Also do you have any further details on the pack contents?

Thanks

Phil

Looking good Smivs, can't wait till we get out there again. Judging from where you took the pic looking down on the garden you must be a bit down from us. We are in 138. If you are out there now you might see some activity round ours as our furniture is being installed over the next few days.

Really nice apartment Smivs,

You mentioned your washing but didn't notice any pink stuff,  is that a high rise in the bedroom as I was thinking I could probably sit a high rise out on the solarium for 15/20 minutes just enough time to dry my clothes, or else getting one that attaches to the wall, just enough to put costumes over, you know the ones you get on holiday, I don't think PW could object to that, or could they?

Alison

I agree with Alison where's the pink stuff ?  Ummm....

Tanrog  go to photos at the top of the page , then add your developement i.e Condado de Alhama , Jardine de Alhama, etc etc. then when you have done that press view photo's and  'he presto' there they are.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments, I can't tell you how depressed I have been the last couple of days since I got back home.  I can't explain the feeling but some of you will know where I am coming from in that when you go away on holiday more often than not you are also pleased to get back home.  This time because it is actually my own place, for two pins, I would have missed the flight back it is a totally different feeling having your own place.  Now once again I am like an anorak on the flight websites looking for another flight.

Alison - The washing maiden is just a free standing one bought from the hardware shop on Camposol the next urbanisation along from Condado about 5 mins away cost about £18/£20 on special offer

Phil - I have copied below the original information I posted in relation to the furniture pack.  I wasn't going to even go to Homestyle as I had looked at the prices on line and wasn't really impressed but when I actually visited the store they had furniture packs that don't even feature on the website.

When we went into homesyle there were more staff than customers but it was later in the day. The guy could speak excellent English and was extremely helpful even when I messed him about a little he just smiled and carried on. What I didn't get my head around at first ,which may assist you, is that I didn't want all the items in the furniture pack as the apartment would have been far too cluttered. He basically said that I could swap and change anything I wanted however once you break the pack the items are priced individually and therefore a hell of a lot dearer. If you take tha furniture pack complete as it was you also get a discount as you are buying one of their properties (10%) 5% on the white goods pack (although you can get these items cheaper), then the silly thing is it is worth it to just throw the items you don't want in the skip...!! or sell them to a neighbour.... It's mad really, my furniture pack was exactly 4000 euros delivered, unpacked, fixed and fitted and the rubbish taken away. Works out at about £3,360 at today's exchange rate and for that we got the following:-

4 single beds (which zip together should you want doubles) Including mattresses and headboard for each bed
Bedside Cabinets
Bedside lamps
Pillows
Dining table and 4 chairs which extends to a fair sized table would easily seat 6 (this is going on the back patio as too big for apartment)
Large mirror and shelf
Double bed settee and armchair for living room (bed settee is a 2 1/2 seater settee)
Large coffee table
small coffee table
table lamp
2 x tv units
1 Wall unit (glass fronted)

Beds seems to be dearer to buy in Spain compared to the UK, at the end of the day I was happy with what I have ordered and all the hassle taken away.

Hope this helps

Hi Jackie,

Thanks very much for the info.  Does anyone out there have contact email for Homestyle? I've tried asking for details of the packs via the web form but that just gives an error ;-(

Hi Kazzy - I got the flight from Ryanair's own website going from Liverpool to Murcia 14th Nov to 17th Nov, the flight is currently priced at zero but after all the charges and taxes etc worked out at £174.12 for 4 of us but then I go stung with the next scam of debit card charges so came in at just over £200 for the four of us.

The debit card charges really get my goat how can they justify charging for a debit card payment - Any of you finance people out there got the answer is this worth a letter to the ombudsman?????  I can understand credit card charges although that is also a pi micky take !!!

Hi Phil  -  My contact at Homestyle is Andres Anguix, he speaks excellent English and usually answers the e-mails within a day

Hi Jackie, like you we were fed up with the credit card charges that ryanair charge, there's 4 of us going over in October and they charged us £8 per person to use the card, then Tracey decides to buy curtains and bedding etc and as we were just taking hand luggage needed to add baggage, anyway, went on line to book cases, 3 came to £16 and showed same charges for credit and debit cards, but when we clicked on the visa electron card, NO CHARGES, don't know why so we used our daughters card to pay for the cases and saved some cash. I'll have to look at getting one of these cards if i can as they will save a lot of money when we go over regularly. The card was from Halifax.
