Hi, my other half and I have a difference of opinion! Please help us decide!

I want a charcoal BBQ:- easy to get hold of charcoal but it takes time to get stuff cooked. It can be messy...

He wants a gas BBQ:- obviously this is much cleaner and quicker to cook food, however where do you get gas bottles from and what happens when whilst you are renting the apartment and the gas runs out? Do you keep a spare bottle?

What is everyone else doing?

Hi

Gas refills are available from most REPSOL garages and you only have to take the empty bottle back and swop for a new one €14 approx for refill , new bottles available from many sources but try Allen 0034 650675461 about €20

there's not the same rush to get the barby up and running out in Spain and the weather's guaranteed.....so, go for the charcoal and relax over a sherry or two while it fires up!

Apologies if this is a bit of a blonde question, but is it safe to leave gas bottles on the roof top solariums bearing in mind the intense heat up there in the summer months?  I am just a bit concerned as to whether the gas bottles could get overheated and explode!  Don't know anything at all about this sort of thing so would appreciate any advice.

Is anyone aware of any restrictions imposed by PW on having gas bottles on roof terraces?

We are planning to buy BBQs for our apartments for next summer but don't know whether to go for gas or charcoal.

I went along to our snagging appointment when I was out recently.  We're using Trevor from Snaggit.  I asked the same questions and both the guy from Polaris and Trevor said it was fine - he also suggested getting a mini fridge for the solarium as there's a plug up there ............ hadn't though of that so gave me food for thought!

Hi

No problem with gas bottles in the heat , mine is out all year and has been for the last few years , no idea about PW`s attitude to this but would imagine that they would be OK , the fridge is a must by the barby as who can be bothered to go down and get a beer!!!!!! ( you may ruin the steaks )
