We're back......!!!!!
Thanks Linda for posting the updates, we hoped you'd all be excited by the news, as we were actually seeing it happen for ourselves. The whole of R4-R10 is being developed as we speak (to the right of the showroom) with the lower area designated for Marbellas flattened and cordoned off as a material compound. The roads (temporary) have been laid between the site and the Cement Works and I can assure you the flow of cement trucks is constant. We were very lucky to be in an enviable position to be allowed by SJG and the foreman to lay the first 'load' of concrete, those photo's will be kept for posterity i can assure you after all we've been through waiting for this moment to begin. There are numerous earth moving vehicles, both diggers and tipper lorries, digging down further foundations, the latter taking the extracted soil and designating it around the golf course for contour usage.
I can also update on R-15. Very much so this is underway, for those who have visited the urbanisation recently, you would have seen from the sun terrace of the Amapola and Rosita that outline marking of the villas had been done around the showhouses. It is this area that has now been commenced with the first plot to be extracted being directly outside the front of the Amoploa Showhouse. As mentioned, there are quite a few lorries etc on site at the mo but we are reliably informed the site activity will increase immensely as of Tuesday 9th Jan. So a great time to go visit in the next month I think.
Some info on the admin side now, obviously I'm beholden to mention to much however, I will say....those of you who intend renting, please make sure you've done all your homework !!!!! Phase 1 still has a fair number of properties to be sold to meet the 2285 licenced for, however, this month, one organisation (
) is sending to site over 100 of it's agents to familiarise themselves with the 'offering' and to commence their own sales-drive. SJG are expecting a very fruitful year now work has begun in all earnest. On a very bright note...we are also advised that most of the properties are now being priced (and sold) well above what I would guess most of us paid, anywhere between 30k-60k so far
.... the 'pioneers' as SJG call us.
We have loads of pics and info, anyone who would like to see or know anything in particular, please email and we'll forward on.
Linda N - great to meet up with you both. Hope you managed to find some snow at least higher up the mountains.
Buenas Dias
