Condado Golf Course - PGA European Tour..??

That was the objective. Take a look at the parking around the periphery of the resort - there are more spaces than the metro centre !!!!

Thanks for the update Billbo. I presume then that this is still the objective? I wonder how many years it will be before the 1st course at Condado will be fully operational with a great club house and hotel complete?

I wonder what inovative ways Polaris intend to market this golf course to really raise its profile..?? Has anyone ever read any stories regarding this golf course in any of the main golf publications?

Once operational I think Polaris should look at ways of getting the course replicated for play on the Tiger Woods Nintendo Wi-ii game to really raise its profile to show it has the potentional to be one of the greats.

Does anyone have a visual view of what the club house will look like and details of approximate timescales of getting this complete? I guess the club house will be quite a lavish presentation if they are wanting to attract the course onto the European PGA tour, etc?

If you go back through the threads and the photos there is a plan of the clubhouse posted by Don and Kerry dated 26th August ref 59636. However nobody seems to be sure as to whether these are the final drawings. If they are then the clubhouse looks fantastic.

We were out at Easter and were told once they have completed the Foro which should be June they will start building the permanent clubhouse.This will take 12 months to complete. For the interim period we will have a temporary clubhouse.

Aug 2009 - Driving range
Nov 2009 - 18 holes of golf plus temp club house
Nov 2010 - Club House

 

Does anyone have a visual plan of what the proposed club house will look like?

Hi all,

We popped into the Sales centre on our visit over Easter to ask for a progress update and we were told that the plans for the golf clubhouse have been resubmitted to incorporate a hotel. They also told us that they would start this after the Foro is completed and it would take 12 months.  There were no plans available at that time.

So it is true that the Intercontenental Group will be building a hotel on Condado?

That's what PW are saying. There is one at Mar Menor and La Torre.  Given that CdA will be the largest and supposedly the Flagship of PW resorts I can't see that they wouldn't be building one.  And if we do get on the PGA circuit it's a must.
