Rubbish and Rats

Please could everyone make renters aware rubbish goes in bins on main road not small ones in garden.

The flies are delighted as weather warms up and rats and foxes will appreciate it as well.

Do noy know colour coding yet, thought I had it right and then a Spanish lady told us off.  We think

Green round hole  glass

Yellow  hole Plastic

Blue  paper

Lift up bin general rubbish

That's the same understanding as I have. The blue bin takes card as well as paper,

I can see this being the first thing I really moan about, there is a waste bin right up against the side of our apartment, by the patio, and we asked our "Snagging Company" to put it on the list as something we wanted moving, we have since asked customer services twice to remove it, on the grounds that we think in the summer when people start putting fruit remains and sweet or ice cream wrappers in it, we are going to be attacked by wasps and other flying insects, on our patio.  It is still there, but I can promise you this, if we start getting this problem that Dringman has posted, I won't be waiting for someone to move it

We had the same problem when we were out at the beginning of April in Jardin 5

We saw a man walk over to the bin by the swimming pool and have a look in.  He then went back to his apartment and came back with a carrier bag full of rubbish which he placed in the bin.  As the bin was already full the carrier bag was visible over the top.

This was the first day of our break and we never said anything because we presumed the bins by the swimming pool were regularly emptied however this rubbish was still there 9 days later when we went home.

Next time he won't be so lucky

Hi Simon,  It's June that posted that, Martyns the quiet one. lol

I give it a kick everytime I go by it just to see if it's moving, but it isn't yet.  I'm going to have to get a lump hammer when we're over next. Can you get silent ones?  If I could speak Spanish I would pay one of the workmen to make it dissapear

Just wear some scruffy plaster/dust covered jeans And sweatshirt hard hat and beat the living dayligths out of it!

Dont forget to have a fag hanging out of your mouth and have a tea break for an hour every ten minutes.

LOL!  I'd have to make sure I don't do it between the hours of 10am and 5pm too

We should ask for the recycling / rubbish bins to be labelled up in English and Spanish - last time I was over people had put the wrong material in various bins. I'll e-mail RPM and see if this can be done.
