I emailed entropay support after reading on the forum that account must be in STG and for any Irish customers this does not appear to be a viable option for avoiding Ryanair fees what with sterling exchange rates. Below is reply I got from entropay support.
Hi Ethnea,
Thank you for your email.
As things stand at the moment, Ryanair will accept EntroPay Virtual Visa Cards as Visa Electron but only if the operating currency of your EntroPay account is in GBP not in EUR. EntroPay Virtual Visa is a Visa Classic Debit, but Ryan Airs payment system accepts them as Visa Electron Cards, therefore you will not incur the usual credit card fee from Ryanair. Please understand that we have no control over Ryanairs payment system and cannot guarantee that this will not change in the future.
Further we have no control over the exchange rates.
If your EntroPay Account currency is in GBP, then when you Top-Up your account your bank will convert the GBP to your local currency (i.e. GBP to EUR) at their exchange rate. You may check the exchange rates at your issuing bank.
I hope that answers your query.
If we can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards
Lesley

I agree about the high charges, but just booked a week from September 24 from Birmingham to Murcia, with Ryanair, all it is costing is the taxes to and from Spain. Total of £107 for two of us. That ain't bad. All I need to do now is get an electron card and I would be saving nearly £20 charges!

I have my Spanish account with Halifax in Mazarron. I have a Visa Electron with that, it is accepted on Ryanair, even though it is a Euro card, and I am booking in GBP, no charges from Ryanair, no charges from Halifax and exchange rate on last deal seemed ok, around 1.12.

Hi All,
I use Ryanair frequently, as the flight times/prices suit my needs. The only thing to remember with Ryanair is they have certain rules. Baggage wieght. Hand luggage weight/size of case. Booking online................. etc etc. Just follow the rules, take your own sandwhiches/drinks onboard and enjoy the benefits of cheap flights where its available.
As regards staff, never had a problem. Always found them pleasent and they have a sense of humour too!

We arrived home last night after our third visit to condado so far this year & will be going over again in June. Could not afford to do this if we used other companies . We always use Ryan Air, Never had any problems. Wind ( Not me ) does have something to do with flight times , some times for the bettter.
Staff on board always cheerfull & very helpfull. We only take hand luggage . Book in online so no hanging around airports for two hours. always look for dates either via B`Ham or East Mids that will give us free travel if possible. Do like to get on board early so we ensure we can all sit to gether so do have priority boarding but still works out at great prices
Would not use any other unless they can compare with Ryan Air
