in my experience they just take the card off you and don't ask for ID when you use it, so I don't think it's a problem, especially when it's a partner using it. It would be a bit naughty though if you were to hand it on to someone else when you weren't there but I'm some do it

I'm happy witht card - had a lovely night in the LT Hotel when last over and it's great to get a bit of discount in the bar, supermarket , restaurants, etc (it pays for my twixes and bottled water !)

June - as owners i beleive we do get a discount, i was told the golf would cost round the 55 euro mark per round inc discount, pretty much the same as La Torre, not sure if this is going to change, it did come from customer servers though, and i know they change there minds quite often.

I am sure owners would get a discount i'd be pretty shocked if we didnt, what i am interested in is guests of owners while playing with the owner ?

We have just turned down the offer to purchase a discount card as I asked the question "is the discount allowed on special golf offers?"  we were told NO!!

So we decided that there are not enough facilities yet available to warrant the card, until the restaurants open its not much saving at condada.

I'm 40 and play off 4 in a very windy Irish course called the Island. Really looking forward to the challenge at CdeA. Like everyone else, I've walked it a few times and reckon it will be a really tough test off the back tees. The rest of the family have no interest whatsoever so I''ll be delighted to hook up with others for a game at some stage.

I'm in Naranjos 4 and will be out next over an extended October Bank holiday weekend.Maybe we should put a timesheet together for a game around then and throw a few quid into a kitty?

Anyone know who to contact for a definitive date on when the course actually opens to the public. 

Also what plans (if any) for an official opening.

We were thinking of booking a trip over, for the opening in late November, but don't want to arrive,  be told of another delay, and so waste a trip.

I agree :) i want an opening date :),anyway lets get to the point on the weekend i won the junior medal at my home course scoring a unreal amount of points with rounded up to 63 at the end

Well done Tom.  How many have you knocked off your handicap? 

I see that on the mail shots I get from a golf travel company that they are including Alhama in the packages from 1st May next year, so they must be confident that it will be in very good shape by then.  Haven't heard anything other than the 15th November opening, but then we have been given dates before, right up to the death and they have not produced.  So fingers crossed.

If your mum and dad haven't gone yet, tell him to make sure he's got plenty of balls.

As Al Kasar is being touted as the temporary clubhouse- does anyone know if there are going to be any changes to the unit PW plan to use. I think I have read it will be in the opposite corner to the supermarket and will include a pro-shop, bar and changing rooms. But all the units in Al Kasar look into the central courtyard- do you think there is any chance that they will alter the unit so there are windows over looking to road and golf course and where would the buggies be based?

We were over for two weeks ending October 3rd. Went around the course to see if the opening date of November 15th is realistic. Yes it is! The fairways, greens and tees are starting to look superb. The far rough needs a bit of cleaning up, but there is no reason as far as I can see why the course should not open within the next 6 weeks. And what a course it is going to be ! We are really in for a treat, it is world class ! The practice facilities are also excellent. Can`t wait to get back !

It knocked off 13!! because before the game i got put up to 54!! but now gone to 41.2 but i played to 28 on the day which was my original handicap? haha,yes i now know its the 15 of november and the practice facilities are done.

Just wondering how these facilities are expected to compare against facilities on either Vale Do Lobo or Quinta Do Lago in Portugal? With time is the plan for the golf and facilities on Condado to rival these 2 resorts in Portugal actively?

 now that it looks like the course wont be opening when it was supposed to, and i have built up lots of brownie points with the missus, and booked flights already with golf clubs(should have new),

does anyone fancy playing a game on a different course on either 18th, 19th and 20th of november, or all 3 if you wish
