Hi All,

I used "Climazone" last March/April.  Very competitive prices.  Highly efficient and reliable.  They advised me what units I would require (1 in each bedroom  + 1 in lounge) Hot/cold air.  Out at Christmas and hot air spot on.  Out 2 weeks in July/August and Air con spot on (Next visit I'll be paying for "Leccy" so I'm glad I found out now)

They have been based in the Murcia region for years, which is why I chose them.  Others have had similar businesses in other regions, then seemed to materialise in our region when the time was right for Air con installation.

I guess in these economic times any business is capable of failing (look at poor old "Woolies" and their staff).   Hopefully my installer will still be here in years to come to service and take care of those all important warranty issues should they arise.  Time will tell.

As money was a little tight following Euro rate drop etc etce etc we decided to hold off on the Air con and have a holiday out there  in the summer before deciding on the necessity, particularly as we would rather not get Aircon wrong by 'going cheap'.

Following two weeks in Aug decision made ...........as we are not renting out and we are only using as a holiday home for two or three weeks at a time in the summer months, bog standard fans to provide a breeze in the bedrooms at night were sufficient, certainly for now. If our usage changes or we decide to rent out then the priority may change.

If we had money burning a hole in our pockets and we'd done the pergola, and built in under the stairs and put shutters on the lounge doors etc etc then Air con would be the next luxury item on the list.

Our priority has changed from Air con to a decent canopy over the pergola as it was far more uncomfortable eating lunch in the sun whlst struggling witha parasol that simply was no match for even the slightest breeze (cheap cantilever parasol!) rather than having british summer temperatutres in the bedroom at night!

For those unsure about fitting Aircon it may be sensible to hold off, try out a visit in the summer and then decide whether the paying out for a decent system is good value for money for you.

Brett

Hi All

it is always worth asking Polaris Homestyle if they are offering any deals at the moment Igot a cracking deal from them and got A+ rated efficient Samsung units, at the time it was buy two and get one free which consisted of 2 hot and cold units and one cold only unit.  Like many our there I had a problem with the pre-installation pipework and it is just so much easier if Polaris fitted it to get them out and get it repaired.  I must admit that i also got my furiture from Polaris (another special offer) and they are excellent should you ever have a problem with anything I just found it so much easier getting everything from them.

I accept that they are very expensive if they charge their normal prices you have got to ask for the special offers

I agree, we have used Polaris for furniture and electrical and their prices have come down a lot in one year. There are cheaper out there but the Polaris after sales service is very good and the quality better.

I would recommend Tom in http://www.icrefrigeration.es/  for Air con.

He gave a good deal for units last year. Gary from Polar Air was cheaper by €100 at the time but the price appeared too good to be true……..I think I made the right decision.

Don't be afraid to ask for a deal on either!
