Completion at last!

We finally completed on Friday and the proud owners of now no 10 - not sure of the street name Frondoso Valley.  Am told that the street names are of animals.  The solicitors did the deed for us and we are now organising the big clean so we can stay in the October break.  We had already selected furniture about 2 years ago from DFS in San Javier who we were very impressed with (good move as we had also visited Villa Pac who have since gone bust!) so as soon as cleaning done the furniture can be delivered.  So hopefully will meet up with some of you either in October or in the not too distant future.  I know Tim and Rowena will be there same time as us so really looking forward to meeting you guys eventually - will ring and speak to you before then if your reading this.  Anyone else there in the October break - we are there from 22 October - 2 November please let us know so we can organise a get-together

After 3 years we are finally going to stay in our place in the sun - better late then never!!  Regards Julie and Kevin

We are meeting jo and dave at a pub near us next week. Coincidentally, they live round the corner from my mum in the uk.

Also booked Boxing day -early jan  and the Feb school holidays !

CONGTATULATIONS Julie & Kevin!!!

Not sure if we will be going out unless ours is completed by the October half term holidays - we have booked the week off just in case but not flights yet in case it is not ready. In the process of signing over power of attorney anyway at the moment in case ours is later than half term as I can't have holidays after that until xmas as you know.

If we did come out we would be there between 23 Oct -1st Nov so would love to see you there too, but all depends on the house as we dont want to have to pay out for hotel.

Anyway, hope all the cleaning and furnishing goes well for you and see you soon.

Hi Guys,

We are staying in Los Alcazares from 18th October to 25th October. We will be visiting Frondoso on Monday 19th and also later in the week. The solicitor advised our place may be ready by then but we wont be able to stay in it until next time.

If anyone who is out there during that week wishes to meet up please let us know.

We are just arranging to have window locks put in when furniture delivered, didn't really want to have grills put in so we thought this would be the next best thing.  Also does anybody know if the home insurance policy for one year included in the price is for contents also - will need to check with Gemma before furniture delivered.

We are Andrew & Barbara Payne.  We completed on M4 on 4 Sept and now live in Av Frondoso Valley 63 when in Spain.

Our next visit is from 14 October to 3 November so we are looking forward to meeting several of you then.  No doubt we will have plenty of experiences to exchange.

On the security topic, we decided to go for grilles and will be having them fitted next month using the same people who did the work for Pat & Geoff.

We have not seen the insurance provided by the developer but decided to insure our house using a UK company which specialises in overseas homes - Intasure.  The premiums are very reasonable and the cover looks good but the test will come if we ever have to claim....

If anyone knows a good and cost effective way to get an internet connection we would be interested to hear about it.  It seems expensive to pay a regular monthly charge when we do not expect to be there for more than about a third of the year.

We moved in on the 3rd June and Gemma gave us our insurance certificate within a few days and the cover commenced on the 28th May the day we completed.  The insurance company is calld Liberty Seguros and they have English staff and they have a 24 hour home assistance service.  The contents cover is 12,000 euros and the building cover is 90,000 euros.  We are still here in Frondoso and will have enjoyed 4 months in total before we go home on the 23rd of October.

While I congratulate everyone who has already completed and start enjoying Frondoso Valley I have just a question to ask to Barbara & Andriew, Patt & Geoff : what is the point of living in a gated community with guards and all, 24 hours a day,  and putting grilles to all the openings ? You are paying for those people to guard the site and secure the houses !
