I thought for a bit of fun we could identify all the (so called) laws and procedures that have been used and abused by SJ (and their subsiduaries), banks and others during the past few years and see if at the end we can put together our own Top 10. We can use this to ascertain if they are trustworthy or not which might be helpful to others deciding to purchase in the future.
Let me start with a few, you can decide if they were broken or not or if they failed to carry them out.
Opened a secure account for the depositers. (SJ & Bank)
Issued bank guarantees to the purchasers. (SJ & Bank)
Provided accomodation for potential purchasers who are homeless. (SJ)
Identified payments as being made for off-plan use. (Bank)
Obtained licence to build. (SJ)
Used the land grab law to obtain land. (SJ)
Obtained licence for water. (SJ)
Paid the 6% compound interest per year on moneys held. (SJ & Bank)
Opened up a subsidery company so if that one went bust SJ would be able to continue.
Paid 25% fine of moneys held in secure account for not providing Bank Guarantees. (the law)
