Phase 4 Construction progress?

 Would appreciate it if someone could answer these two questions.

1.Can anyone tell me if construction has restarted on Phase 4 A since the New Year?  

2.Does anyone actually know for sure the true extent of Calidona's financial situation?  Is the company really in financial trouble?

I was at RODA yesterday  and confirm its the first time I have seen " workers " actually doing something since from the end of November.

There was only one of the cranes working and only 5 manual workers.

I stopped and arsked one of the group , He told me lots more will resume next week ( I will check again)

On the subject are Calidona / Roda in a good Financial state, one can only guess, but it must be very uncomfortable for them with very little income ( no house"s selling) and now possible Court cases on Roda ( non delivery of advertised faciltys, over due time on the builds on phase 4 A and B )

Plus on Corvera  and Roda very large groups looking at litigation not a good sign for Calidona

Time will tell ,but it may be running out for everybody concerned

 I really hope not ,what was promised at  thetime of sale and what was actually delivered to Date is not what was a lot of peoples dream"s

The official state of Spanish compnaies financial situations is based on a scale of 1 to 20. 

On 20th January 2010 Calidona were between 8 and 9 so no great worries at this stage.

Just found!!

If you go on flickr@yahoo and in the search put in Roda Golf you get a slide show of photos of phase 4 taken in January 2010. Looks only to be 4a but they seem to be coming on really well.  

I am not sure they are comming on that well at all , i was over in roda last october and this was what they had done back then everything was ready for plastering and if these photos were taken in jan 10 then the other postings are then right that the builders have pulled out in november and not returned in force yet. Customer services have no idea about what is going on and said something about an announcment in febuary!!!, the girl said she was being told nothing from her bosses and she could offer us no news. Judging by the photos there is no way they will be finished by may as stated in the contract if this is the case will that make roda be in breach of the contract and we would be intitled to move to get our money back

You are correct , my Husband was there on Friday and indeed the Phase is excactly the same as it was in November,

None of the Phase has been plastered and the windows still just the frames.

This time he said  there were more workers ( about 15 )  on site but still only the one crane working.

In his opnion unless they have a full commitment of workers etc this will not be finished in May . Although this does breach the Contract , you may find a Court could grant Roda extra time say  6 months or so because of adverse conditons ( credit crunch )

Thats only a personnal opinion and one should seek Legal advice on this if you contract has this stipulation

Since I had only been looking at the photos from September 2009 it was a nice surprise to see the more recent ones through rodagolfinfo.

Oh Well!  Back to dreaming - it doesn't look like they will be finished in time from what has been said. It's like a funeral march! OOPS! SHOULDN'T HAVE USED THAT SAYING!!!

After being on phase 3 today, having passed phase 4a, I can tell you that there were a large number of construction workers on site and I saw two out of the four cranes working. This is a tremendous amount more than has happened in the last three months.

I hope this is not going the same way as Corvera ie:---   QUANTITY OVER QUALITY !!

Why is the communication from Calidona/ Roda so bad to its Clients, it hardly endears them to the purchasers

Where is this so called annoucement on the 31st Decenber we have all waited for all Year

A simple short update at least once a month is not to much to ask, it would save all the uncertainty that flys about , At the moment the purchasers have paid a HUGE premium for little reward

Lets hope we hear some positive news this Month

Dear All,

Whilst there doesn't seem to be masses of worker on site, those there are making progress.

Recently, a lot of the roof structures have been finished and there is even signs of the facade materials being applied.

Things do look like they're heading in the right direction :)

Just returned from Roda now and there is a lot of activity today.

Four new cement silo's have been delivered (which make the morter for brickwork etc) and there are a lot of workers on site.

Certainly seems to be lots of activity now. The first apartment block (from the second entrance security hut roundaout) has almost finished being rendered.

There are always lots of cars and workers there now.

All four cranes are working.

Please don't quote me, as it is only hearsay as there seems to be no official line from Calidona, but a number of sources have suggested that Phase 4B has been mothballed and all buyers had been offered alternative purchases in different phases.

You seem to be very keen for news and I just wondered if you had been offered that option.
