Polaris World Discount Card

We have received an email asking if we wished to purchase the discount card.  Can anyone tell us whether it is still worthwhile having?

Mine expired last month, I am concerned about renewing. When they called me to ask if I wanted to renew, I did notice that they are not longer offering the free night in the interconintal, it was just a 70Euro discount. I would also imagine that this can only be used at La Torre as Polaris no longer own Mar Menor Intercontinental.

We have booked a night in Mar Menor using the discount card, since the information came out that PW dont own Intercontinetal.

I think it may depend on how often you eat in PW's restaurants, use their bars and the supermarkets. In all honesty we haven't yet felt it is value for money as we rarely eat out and have only used The Clover sparodically so haven't had as much benefit there as other people may have done. At least we will get a free night in the Hotel and could have up to three other nights at reduced rate- which we might yet do. The golf course is already reduced to owners so you cannot use it there but you can use it in the pro- shop.

However, we have only been out three times since getting it and for one whole visit the tills were down in the Clover- so no discount there!

I think we could comment more fairly later in the year when we've had various summer visits and Oct- but for now the jury is out.

 I've been out and used my card on two trips. Got money back spent on card (clothes in Pro shop, Bar, restaurant and supermarket only) have used free or discount vouchers yet.. Have another two trips books so well worth it for me.
