Hi Steve
Would definitely recommend La Caverna (the cave) which is 10-15 minutes drive from Condado. Plenty of reviews on this site if you search
Also, La Siesta on Bolneuvo beach is worth a visit, particularly if you can get an outside table. Only 20 minutes down the RM23 to Mazarron
Cheers

The port at Mazzaron has plenty of decent restaraunts, especially portside, just take your pick
Also Hotel Mariposa on the Espuna, is excellent for escorted Quad bike tours, or even just a reasonably priced lunch.

I think Murcia City is worth a visit.
Park free at Alhama de Murcia Train station 3.50 euros return tickets.
Come out of the station at Murcia walk straight up the avenue until you come to the river. (maybe worth getting a map from he hut). Lots of squares with great taps bars, lovely old buildings and churches, bridges etc.

Fantastic place to visit and to eat lunch is an ex monestry called Santa Eulalia near Totana 3 course lunchfor €10 and the gounds are fantastic. Nearby is a typical Spanish village called Aledo which is well worth a visit with a castle and church and lots of lovely narrow streets and the views are spectacular.
