Electrical Goods & Car hire/share

Am looking for a bit of advice please!

We need to buy electrical good for our penthouse. Has anyone any advice regarding where we should go to get these?

We have booked flights to come out in August-if we were to go somewhere to purchase them, is anyone aware how quickly they tend to be delivered? We are not certain whether to order in advance and get our keyholder to take delivery or whether to sort it when we come over. The only thing is that we would prefer to see the products before we buy them!!

Also we were looking at car hire for when we come over and it seems rather expensive. Has anyone any advice re cheap ways to book etc. Alternatively, we recently saw a thread re car sharing-am not certain how this would work in practice as we would all need the airport run both ways! We are out Aug 22nd (late) till Aug 30th (teatime) if anyone is interested in trying to make this work???

Are you talking white goods, or just kettle iron etc or both.

We went online and looked at DFS site, got our white goods from them delivered with our furniture. Rest of kitchen stuff and telly we bought in shopping mall off A30 junction 191   Leroy Merlin - lamps, Media Mart - telly, kitchen goods and free standing air con (we needed something till lounge air con was installed) bunged it all into the back seats and boot. Its forty minutes away from Condado and is open till 10pm Mon - Sat  closed all day Sunday.

We bought our white goods from Canovas in Alhama de Murcia.  Bought just before siesta break (2.30pm) and all delivered that night by 8pm.  Delivery guys put fridge/freezer in place and plumbed in the washing machine - brill service!
