What to do in the rain!!!!

Hi everyone,

we have some friends staying at our apartment this week, and understand there has been some awful rain!! TYPICAL!!!

We have always been fortunate, and never really experienced any rain - YET.

Any idea's suggestions what there is to do fairly locally  please - they have a little girl aged 10.

There are Cinemas and bowling at the big shopping centres outside Murcia (Thader & Nueva Condomina), Or there is the Spa at the Sensol Hotel at Camposol.

There has been some rain but its not been constant or regular by any means. Low cloud has meant its been a tad cooler for periods of the day but then the sun comes out again. In our Jardin people have still been in the pool in the rain. Friday evening was the worst- around Mar Menor they were hit by massive hailstones that damaged cars and strong winds up rooted tree's. But for the rest of us it was heavy rain for few hours likewise saturday evening saw some showers. As for today it started wet but from mid day- apart from being over cast and a few spots of rain it's been very warm, we've had people out around the pool all day. So no problem being out and about maybe they should try one of the towns hereabout like Cartegena and they could be in and out of the shops  or cafes if it rains or try the tourist boat at the harbour when the sun comes out.

As it's predicted thunder storms for the next few days we just wanted to ensure we had a back up plan for our friends as most activities are outdoors and most weather reliant.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Especially when the water supply has also been cut off tonight!!!!

It never rains in the pub

Yes, bigger problem is that there's been no water since lunch time. Work men cut thru or damaged a main pipe- so who knows when that will be sorted?!!

Some rain on the horizon for tomorrow then back to 32 degs and rising.

Water back on last night about 11. Rain also on this morning looks like it could be all morning at least.

Major rain today and interior roads flooded. Back gatehouse wouldnt open barrier for us and we couldn't get through flooded roads to try other gatehouse gate!! Just like our camping holidaysin Scotland from years past!!!!

The Freels

It stopped by 2pm and the sun came out again.  Spent the afternoon/early evening down in Puerto Mazarron and the beach was packed and harbour area busy so everything seemed back to normal pretty quickly. Evidence of flooding on the roads and the river was madly churning away but otherwise no need for wellies only sun block.

i do hope there was no dammage done to your properties can i offer my guttering service to you all to prevent any or further damage to your property.
